May 29, 201115 yr 2010- (dreadful top 10 :o some of these I don't even like that much) 01. (-) Dizzee Rascal - Dirtee Disco (its merely OK, and hasn't aged well at all) 02. May 29, 201115 yr Although it's less of a non-#1 than Solo by Iyaz would have been (as it looked like being #1 at the start of the week). Disagree. I at least heard Solo out on nights out every so often. It would've been a bit of a 'what?' number one, but certainly nowhere near as much as Dirtee Disco.
May 29, 201115 yr The more I listen to the new SHM song, the more I think it sounds like the Wanted  YES, it really does, doesn't it?! Whenever I hear it I always think it's them until the DJ says afterwards. Sounds nothing like their previous releases.
May 29, 201115 yr I will do it from next week then! These threads where nowhere near as detailed as they are now. *were New Josh? :(

May 29, 201115 yr Author YES, it really does, doesn't it?! Whenever I hear it I always think it's them until the DJ says afterwards. Sounds nothing like their previous releases. Glad you agree Cremey! :cheer:
May 29, 201115 yr Loved that Sunshine Anderson song  Bit of a lost gem. Mary J. Blige-esque soul. No idea why it was so successful when loads of other neo-soul songs from the turn of the decade did absolutely nothing here. That was a bit of a US-only trend. Records I bought those weeks: Sandi Thom - I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker  The Feeling - Fill My Little World Blue - All Rise 3LW - No More (Baby I'ma Do Right) Sunshine Anderson - Heard It All Before DJ Pied Piper was TERRIBLE indeed.
May 29, 201115 yr Disagree. I at least heard Solo out on nights out every so often. It would've been a bit of a 'what?' number one, but certainly nowhere near as much as Dirtee Disco. Well, I'm sure we can agree Nothin' On You should have been #1 that week anyway, at least out of the top 3.
May 29, 201115 yr Prediction 1: Pitbull 2: Aloe Blacc 3: Bruno Mars 4: LMFAO 5: Alexandra Stan -------------------------- 9: Saturdays -------------------------- 13: Nicole Scherzinger [RT] 14: Jennifer Lopez [iIY] 17: Rihanna [CKB] -------------------------- 22: Beyonce [RTW]
May 29, 201115 yr Well, I'm sure we can agree Nothin' On You should have been #1 that week anyway, at least out of the top 3. Oh definitely. It's a massive shame Kylie/Tinie Tempah didn't bring forward their releases by a few weeks to target this time last year. All The Lovers might have performed a little better but Frisky would've definitely been a number one.
May 29, 201115 yr I'm glad I can finally listen to the chart show at a respectable time now that I'm back in the country, instead of having to get up early (10am) on a Sunday morning to tune in. Is it just me, or do Metallica look out of place on the 1996 chart? Not that I'm complaining mind.

All The Lovers might have performed a little better but Frisky would've definitely been a number one. And if Tinie moved forward and Shout For England waited until the start of the next week, Wavin' Flag would have been a #1... (but I suppose you could keep extending that logic infinitely to make any song a #1 so I'll just stop there)

They do, it was inevitable in those days though that a comeback single following an album as big as the Black Album would go top 10 though.
May 29, 201115 yr Saturdays always make the chart show intresting, always drama around them! Usually created by the fans
