Amelia was definetly the clear standout for me tonight, I really hope she can go far.

THIS. She's been my favourite since she auditioned, and I think she could be a potential winner if she improves. We've certainly got a girl winner, I honestly wouldn't be shocked to see a girl v girl top 2.

I think the winner will come from the girls this year, after seeing all the boys, I can't see anyone that would cut it as a recording artist, if I had to put the winner's name into an envelope now, it would have to be Amelia.

 

But I have not heard anything solid from Carolynne from the Overs, they haven't given her enough air time on the show, she could surprise us, if picked.

For me after tonight, I would choose:

Remember that the audience/voters don't vote on a "most talented female" basis like most of Buzzjack does. Joe McElderry/Leon Jackson were never BJ favourites either. People vote on novelty, cuteness of the boiz, sob stories etc etc

Hmm this is true, but I'll try to stay positive on Amelia. I'm hoping she suddenly remembers her gran's tragic death from cancer just months ago or something.

Oh I don't doubt Amelia will be very popular. Just not to the same extent as she will be on this forum. Remember in different categories people tend to latch on to one act who fits the niche they like. It'd be a real rarity to get ANY two acts from one category in the final as for the British Public to see enough DIFFERENCE in them hence why we tend to have 3 different acts from 3 different categories in the final (for the most part but not always)

Amelia just did You & I on Xtra Factor. AMAZING. Plus Melanie did I'll Be There, it was better than her Grenade performance. Misha bettered Fly too with No Drama.

Did anyone see Rhymixs perfomance on xtra factor it was amazing ! Loved Misha Marcus Amelia Nu Vibe Rhymix Craig and the Risk Frankie and Kitty was surpsingly good too !

YES. YES. YES. Totally agree, I'm going to be a total hater because at times I do like Janet but this year she just isn't as good as the high standard set by the likes of Amelia and Sophie for the girls catergory. I don't think she'll win, in the long run she'll be Laura White/Diana Vickers/Cher Lloyd part 2. I think she'll go as far as Diana/Cher rather than Laura though.

of course - she brought a completely new (although not widely loved) style to XF and was pretty popular for the most part - but the problem, as much as I love her, was that she was a bit of a one trick pony, I love Janet, but she does need to show some more versatility :(

Oh FFS. The Estrelles (i.e. the 4-piece girl group who were EXCELLENT (not Rhythmix - although their XTra Factor performance of 'Cry Me A River' was amazing!)) performed 'Super Bass' and it sounded so much better than the song that they used for the main show. Sometimes I do wish they'd just show all their stronger performances and not just the performances that will favour certain others :(

 

EDIT: Oh and Amelia NAILED BOTH her performances. She performed 'You & I' on Xtra Factor!

Groups - 2 Shoes (their ballad version of Tik Tok was RIDICULOUS), Girl V Boy, The Keys, Rhythmix

 

Totes aware that almost none of this will happen, but if I get one in each category I'll be happy.
