I'm really not sure if Example is going to get a #1 next week, as the track has been around on you tube for some time now, it was meant to be released a couple of weeks back, not sure if its going to hinder its position now.

They're not though, they're a completely different proposition. And I'd be surprised if a song that was #1 for four weeks was so universally disliked

Eamon 'F**k It (I Don't Want You Back)" (if it wasn't for the cover it wouldn't get as much hate as it does)

Crazy Frog "Axel F" (I didn't mind this but it got so much hate and still does)

James Blunt "You're Beautiful" - yes that was 5 weeks but it was also 5 weeks too many. (it shouldn't have been no.1)

People are forgetting about LMFAO's 4-week run at #1 already? It is a pretty forgettable song though I guess.

I'm very surprised that people are forgetting LMFAO already. Is my looning not enough?

Behind 2 football songs - Shout and the Wavin' Flag (or whatever it was called)

So he would've been number 1 ahead of Kylie had it been a normal week where there was no world cup.

Example FTW next week for sure

Example at number one with 85k I predict (hopefully more). Shout got boring quickly but Wavin' Flag was actually good for a football song and probably would have done well if it wasn't to do with World Cup but got the same promotion (INAD is this years WF imo as they are different but very sucessful [and INAD will probably peak at 2 which is where WF peaked]

Unless Coldplay release a great revolutionary song they don't deserve T10 with their new release. I don't like fanbase buys doing well (unless it's GaGa)

On the subject of football, Pixie Lott would've been comfortably top 10 with Turn It Up (her best song imo) instead of a $h!tty peak of 11 (good for a 5th single yes, but for how amazing the song is it wasn't :() And I've just heard the new Coldplay song - nothing special. It's OK but sure no Viva La Vida... Then again I'm not really a fan! :P

Why would that hinder its position? It's OA/OS releases that give a lower peak, not the other way around.

Also, Simon said on Britain's Got More Talent, he wanted Jessie back to perform on the final because he was so impressed with her yesterday.
I can definitely see that happening. Especially seeing as she was meant/rumoured to be on the final with Nicole anyway. Apparently wasn't it meant to be Sugababes yesterday, but their management couldn't agree with a deal or something? So their label mate, Jessie was told to fill in, obviously and it'd make sense as to why she performed 'Mamma Knows Best' (to sell the album) and will leave 'Nobody's Perfect'/'Price Tag' (Maybe a mash-up? But hopefully just the former) for the final as it'll get more viewers so ideally, more sales.

How come Crown can get it right with Jessie, but can't for Sug4babes? LOL!

I wonder if Jessie does perform on the final then her album will go to number 1 next week?

Sales for Adele/ GaGa must be slowing down so the bump could help her to finally claim the top spot.

Inna is still as high as #15 :o

99. I giorni - Ludovico Einaudi

So, anyone know what this is doing top 100?

All I know is I giorni means the days in Italian (because I do Italian at school). A quick YT tells me, however, Greg James is to blame.

I see. Well, I suppose it's good to see some genre diversity :P It's up to #86 now.

If ever anyone needed proof in the argument that the UK public will buy pretty much any song from any genre that they are exposed to, here's some!

This song is beautiful.

It sounds really nice (I'm listening to it on YouTube now). Would love to see Reggie Yates' reaction if it goes T40

Rihanna - Man Down  to #69.

Good to see J.Lo finally increasing. Shame that Rihanna is slipping. :(

I hope Jessie J performs at the BGT final as well. That would be phenomenal.

Colplay have released their single worldwide, is it only UK that are getting it on Sunday then?

Yes, because they aren't stupid. Friday releases do not work in the UK as has been proven many times already.

#33 on US iTunes already - Christmas Lights got to #3 there (and here) IIRC, we'll see if ETIAW does better. Will almost certainly do better overall if only because it's not naturally limited by being a Christmas song.
