The Saturdays #22 !

Sceneo predicted it would be dropping out the charts by now! Not looking set to climb in Officail charts!

It would be out of the top40 by now if they didn't drop the price so early.

Lee, sorry to burst your bubble, but the fact that The Saturdays had to reduce that poor excuse for a song to 59p (almost half the price it was originally) says it all. If it carried on "selling" at the price it was originally, it would be out the top 40 this week (or hanging on right at the bottom). You just have to look at that truly embarrassing chart run (8-21-33?). The fact that you haven't referenced my predictions before it was reduced to 59p also says it all. I doubt it will pass 100k. ^_^

What's amazing about the 'Teenage Dream' era for me is that California Gurls and Teenage Dream are the weakest singles, yet those were singles #1 and #2. IMO, Firework + E.T + Last Friday Night are all much better than those two.

But please Katy, no more singles. The only other single choice I could think of would be 'The One That Got Away' but nowhere near strong enough.

Replace Teenage Dream with E.T. then i'll agree :P My opinion as you could tell ^_^

Set Fire To The Rain is doing really well! Hopefully it can crack the top 10 by the end of next week.

They're still doing decent despite the price drop? Their airplay has been limited and they have had no promotion! So the fact they've did this is quite impressive. You doubt it will pass 100,000 :L it will be on 70,000 this week and physicals itself will be around 2,000 next week with remixes also avaliable... I think 200,000 is more likely. They also have Graham Norton, Live Lounge coming up etc!

Bounce is closer now than it ever got before I believe - but he's still some way off (he's at 0.91 of Example)

They're still rising because they nearly halved the cost of the track after only 3 weeks of being on sale! however with the dire chart run of 8-21-33, I guess you cant blame them for it - they would almost certainly be still around the 40 mark if it was still 99p - a fact which you seem to be overlooking

I disagree.

CG is the strongest single on the album.

Teenage Dream is a good choice as the second single and it's probably the best song off her album.

ET is by far the worst and most annoying.

Katy Perry's single rate:

1. Teenage Dream (something about it that is so uplifting, summery and inspirational).

2. Firework (just brilliant, the chorus is so anthemic).

3. Last Friday Night (I love how it's just a description of her night).

4. E.T. (even though it's second to last, it's still brilliant - really unique single).

5. California Gurls (it's okay and really summery but I find it weak as a song).

All brilliant singles though.

And Lee, seriously, nobody can deny how desperate the Sats/their management are and how underwhelming and bad the chart performance of 'Notorious' is.

1. Firework

2. E.T.

3. California Gurls

4. Last Friday Night

5. Teenage Dream

All 10/10 (Firework is a bona-fide 15/10 moment though tbh ) - really hope LFN(TGIF) can go top 10 at least (it obviously will!)

1. California Gurls

2. Last Friday Night

3. Firework

4. Teenage Dream

5. E.T.

The top four are brilliant pop songs but I've never been wild about E.T. I stand by the fact that the album does contain its fair share of filler and isn't quite the opus that it's made out to be on here BUT Katy/her record company are absolutely perfect at picking singles.

1. Firework (for the chorus really. It's like a club remix of Viva La Vida, except it's actually uplifting)

2. E.T. (a really strange piece of music, but I love it. I can't believe how big it's been though)

3. Last Friday Night (it's okay. Sounds a bit like Tik Tok with guitars. I think a lot of people can relate to this song :D)

4. California Gurls (it's okay. Also sounds like Tik Tok (but moreso than Last Friday Night))

5. Teenage Dream (I find it a bit boring, but it's nice at times. The riff in it isn't very interesting imo)

The top 2 I think are amazing.

Haven't heard LFN yet.

1) E.T.

2) Firework

3) Teenage Dream

1,000,000) California Gurls

Basically they've got better as they go along :P

1. Firework - 8/10 (bit overplayed now, but I still really like this)

2. California Gurls 7/10 (took a while to grow, but it does sound really good in the sun now)

3. Last Friday Night 6/10 (this is OK, nothing special but decent)

4. Teenage Dream 4/10 (never saw the fuss with this, the chorus sounded almost identical to CG)

5. E.T 2/10 (her worst song ever (even worse than Thinking of Me  ) just don't get it at all)

oddly enough I've liked all the odd single releases from her (CG, Firework, LFN) and disliked her even releases (TD, ET) yet for her last era, I liked her even releases (HNC,WUIV) and wasn't keen on her odd releases (IKAG,TOY), bit of useless yet still quite intriguing trivia

3. LFN

4. CG

-. E.T :puke2:

I'm not suprised she's done so well. The songs are just so damn catchy and radio friendly!!
