Is it going to be On Air/On Sale?

I will fear for the country's taste in music if a song titled 'Swagger Jagger' and based on a nursery rhyme goes number one. But it happened last with 'Start Without You' sounding very nursery-rhyme like, so it could happen again (it's very unlikely though considering how much Cher is hated) I haven't heard SJ but I think it'll be bad, shame, cause' I liked her in the first few weeks of the X Factor (auditions and finals) then she got worse and worse ever since she ruined 'Girlfriend' :puke:

We had Eenie Meanie last year too, which I think was based on a nursery rhyme? :o

I'm not actually sure, although a version did leak earlier today, I just can't see it doing that well, but I guess it will be clearer when the time comes

I think it's released 20th June! So I think it will be. Hopefully it's a hit. I'm really addicted to it and I was a bit unsure as to whether she'd actually pull it off or not, but she hasn't disappointed me

I love her. I hope she has a version of Turn My Swag On on her album. :D

Also, Someone Like You has fallen out of the top 30 for the first time since before the BRITs performance! :o

And this is kind of random, but I noticed a few days ago Not Afraid finally fell out of the top 300. I thought it was going to stay there forever!

Shocked at how good Swagger Jagger is :o

I can really see this getting top 3 at some stage.

I really can't predict how it's going to do. It could go top 3! But it's Cher. She's quite a dividing character. In a way, I kind of don't want her to do too well, because if she does it'll just get her more haters (if that's possible ).

Cher always had quite an impact on the charts though. She single-handedly made Turn My Swag On one of the most popular songs on Winter 2010, and she is partially to blame for Cooler Than Me being so overplayed on the radio (I think it would've gotten popular anyway, but she was the one who introduced it to millions of people and pushed it up into the chart initially). Then there was of course Stay, which was like Someone Like You, in the sense that the public seemed to connect with the performance, and the song started selling loads. I believe Stay even got into the top 50 on the radio airplay chart after she performed it! :o

It's either peak REALLY high and bomb (example: [3-7-15-24-32-39-67-OUT]) OR it will get overall sales that will show it has done better than what it's peak suggests. (Something like 'Till the World Ends' or something.) But because it's Cher it really could go either way. She has more haters than fans, but she has enough fans that will be loyal to her no matter what and get her healthy enough sales. I just hope airplay will be on her side. I can imagine the video channels will be all over it. But Radio 1 and other radio stations won't touch it.

Really hope Notorious can get back into the top 20 even 15.

I saw it being used on a BBC advert or show earlier after Waterloo road, It's now been A listed on Radio 1 and I'm sure they have some promo lined up during next week, plsu the physical and remixes should help...

Glad Dev managed to get top 10...down to #14 now :(

If its On Air/On Sale, I can see it doing similar to Nicola Roberts 'Beat Of My Drum' if I am totally honest. The best case scenario I can see is a top 20 scrape and then one more week at some number like #39 and then gone from the top 40. 'Swagger Jagger' is the most terrible thing I think I have ever heard, its like Little Donkey mixed with London Bridge with a copy of One by Swedish House Mafia's instrumental. How original. How AWFUL.
Why is Waka Waka climbing again? Not that I mind. SHAKIRA SHAKIRA

I think it'll do better than Beat of My Drum. I think perhaps more like Ambitions by Joe McElderry

Everyone probably realises that they should have bought it this time last year and are making up for lost time.

#21 peak = ridiculous. Hopefully it will go on to become one of the all time biggest selling non top 20 hits to prove the point of how stupid its underperformance was, in fact it probably already is.

#24 - Set Fire To The Rain - Adele.

Last Friday Night  #22

Champagne Showers  #39

Yeah 3x  #40

I Giorni  #48

This = Truth.

Although what actually IS the best-selling non-top 20 hit? From recent years, Dog Days Are Over must surely be up there. I think it's sold over 200,000! :o

I always thought it was Lonestar's Amazed from 2000 which sold around 300k with a #21 peak iirc but Florence may well have overtaken that!

Wow. Although, to be fair, DDAO did have the advantage that it got released twice.

EDIT: Woah, I just stumbled across this! :o
