Thanks. I was going to say this. Some people here need to stop thinking every song that has a music video is a single. :lol: Plus, just having a music video won't get an artist a chart hit anyway. Classic example is She Ain't You. It got a music video recently, and Chris Brown is an MTV favourite, but it hasn't even gone top 100. It still needs to be made a single to do well, so that the record label will ask radio stations to play the song, etc.

 

That said, I think Next 2 You might actually be the next single (although I hope it isn't).

 

I am being serious. We need to stop the R and B generic American rubbish from hijacking the charts. A jury will make the chart a lot better and stop crap going to #1.

 

At the moment the chart seems to have the least RnB music in it since I started RnB. There's honestly nothing now. Snoop Dogg, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna and Chris Brown are releasing europop songs. The Black Eyed Peas, Usher, Ne-Yo, etc. are releasing dance-pop songs. It's just pathetic tbh.

 

Don't Wanna Go Home is NOT RnB. Neither is Only Girl. Neither is Yeah 3x. Neither is On the Floor. Neither is Give Me Everything. Neither is Sweat. Neither is Don't Stop the Party. They're all dance-pop. The same as Madonna, Cascada, Britney Spears, September, etc.

Fantastic to see Pumped Up Kicks piercing the top 40. If it stays there for the week, it Foster the People will be the fourth band this year to have their debut top 40 hit after Neon Trees, Beady Eye and the Vaccines (although with Beady Eye it's more a continuation of a former band). It's still a lot less new bands than should be coming through though.

Tyler, the Creator has gone down in my estimations. Using capitals at the beginning of EVERY WORD?! Ugh.
