Tension was #165 the week before it was #197! ^_^

Thanks Jay! Been waiting to get hold of that position!

How many weeks was it out of the top 200 for, just a week or two?

Santa Baby

781,000 (inc. streams) (5 January 2023)

839,441 by this week

#85 this week ~8k this week maybe

58,441 increase

Kylie Christmas wasn't in the Top 200 on 22nd December. Hopefully it'll re-enter on the 29th?

Step Back in Time: The Definitive Collection was #174, down from #162. Its 32nd week in the Top 200.

Thank you Jay….SQ good chance this week given the strong numbers for numerous tracks not just the highest 2.

A couple of re-entries in the 101-200 section of the download chart for the w/e 21st December:

136. All the Lovers

183. Vegas High

Interesting 'Vegas High' re-entered when it wasn't even performed on An Audience With Kylie!

Also, 'Santa Baby' entered the TV airplay chart for the first time this December and has been gradually climbing since: 100-94-85-80

Presumably the Top of the Pops performance from 2000.

Hi my huns

Does her Santa Baby music video ever get played do we know?

Just Carol Honey ❤️

I don’t know how reliable it is, but from SH Facebook here are these stats:

UK chart-eligible album streams to date 📈:

Kiss Me Once 💋 9990

Kylie Christmas 🎄 30589

Golden 🤠 30219

DISCO ☄️34757

Tension 💎13652

Looks quite legit?

I don't understand how Golden Boy spent 3 weeks on the physical chart. By my understanding, it was only available physically on Record Store Day in 2014 and in very small quantities.

At the time when it was released the vinyl boom hadn’t happened and physical single sales were ridiculously low.

GB was limited but RSD wasn’t the same as it is now with fever pitch buying frenzy so stores had copies available for a few weeks, and due to how low physical single sales were it was able to hang around for a few weeks.

I was very unlucky in that case as I queued for a copy before the shop opened on the day and they had sold out. I then went to the other participating record store in Nottingham and they had sold out too. I then paid £100 on eBay.

I got mine on the day and then 2/3 weeks later I was in a local indie store and they had 3 copies sitting there.

I think in the earlier days of RSD so many places done minimal orders (1-2 copies) and then when they realized there was a demand they ordered anything still available.

Not really got anything to base it off but they seem reasonable. Maybe would have thought Disco would be a bit more ahead of Golden but that album did have a two and a half year head start.

5 years this summer since we had the big update of all Kylie’s singles, would love to get another update like that!

'Can't Get You Out of My Head' has been certified 3x Platinum for chart sales of 1.8m. It was on 1.53m as of September 2021 and had been averaging 1.4k weekly chart sales. It's now grown to an average of 2,269 chart sales, in part thanks to the Peggy Gou remix that was released in May 2022. It's on track to pass 2m in September 2025!
