2 hours later since pop bars were shown, is Adele any closer to top 10?

Like Linkin Park. Hate 'Rolling In the Deep'. But their cover of it is AMAZING. I love the stripped down, piano version. Chester is a f***ing brilliant vocalist. It's the voice Jonathan Groff tried to create on the Glee version, but ultimately failed!

I know I listened to it earlier. The thought of a band like Linkin Park to cover a song by Adele is quite a suprise. Yet to pull it off and to actually hear that Chester can really sing is something I never thought I would hear. The cover is absolutely fantastic. Although it seems to have stalled for at least 12 hours or more now. I'm hoping it knocks Minaj down TBH. Sorry Jon :heehee:

I don't mind Linkin Park overtaking as it'll probably only be above her for under another 24 hours or so. I expect it to start falling rapidly with "the weekend effect" (which Minaj seems to have started getting now) :(

Surely Minaj has been out long enough to be theoretically starting to benefit from the weekend effect?

LP still #13. I do hope they can go top 10. The original is back up to #41, I'm sure it should climb from #45 officially this week :D Someone Like You at #26 :o

I think that's what he said. He was saying the weekend will push Rolling in the Deep down the chart, so it doesn't really matter if it overtakes Super Bass for a few hours.

Ed Sheeran down to #4! :o

I haven't listened to the Linkin Park song yet, but I doubt it can be worse than Glee Cast's version.

Chris Brown/Justin Bieber up to #19! Gosh, that was fast. Could we have Justin Bieber back in the top 10 again! :o

Make You Feel My Love up to #67! :o

I also hate the original, but that cover is great :D really captures the emotion of the song, beyond what I expected from them

It was used in the background to EastEnders last night in a key scene!

Ah. That explains it. I thought either it's one of the 59p songs or yet another TV appearance.

Me neither... and I still haven't. :P

This version is awful, losing everything that worked in it for Adele.

Oh, maybe all four of Adele's singles entries will climb then :o

EP and Album Pre-Order Update in the Itunes album chart

(Just cos' I haven't done one in ages and there are finally some new releases showing up :P )

Single EPs

23. The Wanted - Glad You Came (Release Date: 10th July)

39. Cher Lloyd - Swagger Jagger (Release Date: 31st July)

193. Chase & Status - Hitz (feat. Tinie Tempah) (Release Date: 17th July) < I take it this is a new version and not the one thats climbing atm?

Albums

65. Ed Sheeran - + (Release Date: 12th September)

186. LMFAO - Sorry For Party Rocking (Release Date: 18th July)

Ed Sheeran had another version of the album in the top 200 earlier in the week, should be some great opening sales for that

Adele's climb's could also be aided by the fact her Itunes performance was yesterday :P

Ah, that could also explain SLY's climb (although it was climbing before that anyway, possibly because of the announcement of it being a million-seller?)

I can see '+' being a huge seller. Wouldn't be surprised at all if it sold over 1 million.
