July 14, 201114 yr Wow #1 Adele #2 Beyonce #3 Adele :heehee: Cant believe Adele domination is still going strong 6months in to the year! 2011 is Adele's year, no-one else's it seems.
July 14, 201114 yr I'm actually wanting "Run the World (Girls)" to drop out of the Top 40, just so people will stop moaning every Sunday. :kink:
July 14, 201114 yr Author I just looked at the album release schedule there is absolutely nothing for a good 2 months, unless Will Young could sneak a week if album sales are really bad. Adele could be in for another long haul, there has only been 7 acts at #1 in the album chart this year, Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Adele, Arctic Monkeys, Take That, Lady Gaga and Beyonce. Its practically been dominated by female acts. The Album chart will probably kick off in the last quarter of the year, when big artists start releasing for the Xmas rush.
July 14, 201114 yr why is Ricky Martin back in the album chart? has he a new album out?? It's a Greatest Hits set.

Also not forgetting the Foo Fighters had a number 1 album too this year, which is back in the Top 10, probably after their amazing T In The Park headline set on Sunday.

July 14, 201114 yr Yes!!! :yahoo: LMFAO are in the top 40... I really didn't want CS to miss T40, so I'm glad it now has a chance (even if it's not nearly as good as PRA)
July 14, 201114 yr RHCP??? That's the week after Will. Looking there really is nothing released that I could see selling in excess of 25k in a week, apart from maybe Nero. Then in a fortnight 6 albums come along! Will Young, Pro Green and Wretch 32 (maybe), then Bombay Bicycle Club, RHCP and Guetta the week after. Does anyone know if there's a particular reason The Vaccines are up 17 places?

I think Adele will benefit massively from the Christmas rush and althought I thinnk it will be the time we see her drop out of the top 3/5 for the first time we could see her back up to 60-80k a week. I think she will sell 3.1m by the end of the year.

July 14, 201114 yr An albums top 3 all with just digits :o I actually hope it stays that way, would be amazing  ugh, Fix You falling, really hope it can just hang on although the weekend effect will push it down :(

Depends if Take That are releasing another new album around that period, they are big album sellers (new album against an old album, I think TT will be slightly ahead of Adele, sales wise), and they are also doing the soundtrack single for the new The Three Musketeers movie in the autumn/winter. Also around that time we probably get news of the nominations of the Brits come Dec/Jan, I think Adele will keep on selling well into March 2012 and beyond :( .

Why would TT releasing a new album affect Adele's sales? -x- Anyway, 19 back up to #3  I wonder if Adele could potentially do the 1-2 again if Beyoncé continues to fall, since there's bugger all out that'll stop Adele/Beyoncé until RHCP/BBC/Guetta (except maybe Nero and Will Young) BOO @ Champagne Showers entering the top 40, why's it doing it now when it started the week outside the top 40 on iTunes when it never showed up last week despite staying top 40 all week? Fix You down another 1 :( And it's now out of the iTunes top 40 so it looks like it'll miss out again <_< Edited July 14, 201114 yr by Bré
