July 17, 201115 yr :lol: Okay fine, there's no exceptions then. Although last year almost everything Taylor Swift and Lil Wayne released got to #1 on iTunes, for at least a matter of hours. But they always missed #1 officially due to lack of longevity and airplay. On the digital chart, I think one of Taylor Swift's songs got to #1, and then dropped out of the top 100 the following week! :o I'm not sure if that's true though. I think the iTunes twists the way of thinking as a number one on iTunes doesn't mean the song is a huge success in the long run. Regarding Lil Wayne though, he is becoming a bit bigger force again as his latest single is climbing and new album coming.. But on the other hand he didn't help J. Lo at all in the US where I'm Into You seems to underperform badly.

We're getting all 40 quite a lot (relatively) recently, this must be the fourth or fifth time it's happened in the last 6 months. :D Ed Sheeran is still in the top 3 :w00t: And he should get a fourth week at #3 next week, matching Plan B's She Said. Would be nice if it could eventually get to the top 2 but it's doing fantastically.
