Nice summery track, kind of like What's My Name, Right There etc. but not a total rip-off, I quite like it! Getting lots of airplay on Capital, it could do quite well I think.

So this is one of those 'unknown' songs that Capital seem to push every now and again, don't know what I think of it tbh.

Thoughts?

The music video is good up until the bit when they're suddenly all in a room playing guitars, like it's an Avril Lavigne or Kelly Clarkson video or something. :drama:

Nice song. Reminds me of Right There a bit.

Who got more replies biatch? :P

I didn't check beforehand :drama:

I was going to put it here, but then remembered Right There was in pop, so this may as well go there too :lol:

Heard this on Radio 1 last Sunday evening and on Kiss the day after. I found this hilarious for some reason, especially the male person's bit which sounds like the male vocalist from Aqua. :lol:

Wow. How is the song getting all this promotion?! :o It reminds me of how All Time Low managed to get played on almost every radio station like 2 months before its release even though nobody knew who The Wanted were at the time.

It's a good song though.

Moving this to pop. (Seeing as it's supposedly a 'What's My Name?'/'Right There'/'I'm Into You' sort of song and their topics are all in the pop forum (bar RiRi who has her own AF). Then I'll leave for Sabrina or Aled to merge :)

Oh cool! I used to watch their cover videos on YouTube! They're brilliant!

Must listen to this one!

I know the title means a different meaning in the language of Bajan, but im surprised that Capital are playing this, cos as we'll all know, licking someone down is a bit different over here :lol: Imagine if Radio 1 played this, they'd probably have an edit like S&M hehe. My mum was outraged when they played this during the day haha

I think it means knock you down, like the Keri Hilson song. But yeah, most people won't know so will think it's worse than S&M :lol:

Just been listening to some of their covers on YouTube (the reason why they're called Cover Drive :lol:) And ALL of them I've listened to are alot better than 'Lick Ya Down'. Their covers have more of an islandy/acoustic feel than Lick Ya Down, and they feel alot more genuine and unique. They seemed to have been molded into a cheap and generic RnB/hip-hop friendly band for the mass market. My favourite of their covers are;

I keep on hearing this but I can't take it seriously. I think its the creepy mans voice in the chorus and her voice in the bridge sounding very aminated. I half love it, half think its the most awful thing I have ever heard :lol:
Oh dear. The transition from original youtube covers group to mainstream artists didn't go well then! That Lick Ya Down thing is bloody awful...
