So we can listen to most of the radio edit of We No Speak Americano for free then!

And you can listen to all of every song for free without breaking the law - it's called YouTube. :D

Well, yes.

I'm hearing Otis on the radio!!! :w00t:  I hope it can manage to stay top 40 for next week.

Down with the Trumpets  11

Hiopefully will get top 10 soon :D

Wow! :o Surprised how quickly it's climbed! I think being on Olly Murs' new single has helped spread their name. I hope it does too!

Great to see 1:30 samples on UK iTunes! Seems to be available on most songs that I've checked :D

Fantastic news for 'Down With the Trumpets'! :D

Such a feel good summery song that involves annoying instruments and puts them to good use. (Trumpets and Saxophones are easily my most annoying instruments :puke:) GaGa 'Edge of Glory' and Katy Perry 'T.G.I.F.' use the saxophones to good use too, but that flipping 'Mr Saxobeat' song, oh dear Lord :puke:

I also love how, once one song that's been in the top 10 for a while is out of the top 10, we seem to have an influx of new top 10 entries

Oh for bollocks' sake. Why couldn't you just climb to #9 in time Adele? Now you've gone and been overtaken by Rizzle Kicks

If RK are going to go top 10 I really hope they kick out Katy instead of Calvin so we're back up to a 70% British top ten. (Although Calvin will be out of the top 10 by the end of tomorrow anyway, be it at the hands of Rizzle Kicks or Cher Lloyd)

It's great to see the top of the charts being dominated by British acts again after there were literally no Brits (aside from a small featured role from Lauren Bennett) in the top 10 less than 2 months ago :D

Which reminds me, I should post the new Homegrown Top 40.

Although actually, as much as I dislike Down With The Trumpets, I really like Rizzle Kicks' part in Heart Skips A Beat. Maybe if their next single is less gimmicky and less lyrically awful I'll be converted to a Rizzle Kicks fan :P

Some people think their lyrics in Heart Skips a Beat are cringe aswell. :( I don't mind them though. They make me laugh.

There was also Infinity 2008 (although I swear this was popular in 2009?) and Alors on danse. I agree that Mr. Saxobeat is so annoying. I liked it at first, but now I hate it. :( Alors on danse also had the potential to get annoying, but it didn't to me, for some reason.

I noticed quite a lot of urban beats use brass instruments aswell, like Coming Home, 4 Minutes, No Love, Live Your Life, All of the Lights, Crazy in Love, etc.

It's called Mama Can Hump - take from that what you will

I don't think Simon would criticize will.i.am for singing out of time, since he's a guest performer. He's not a contestent, and he's not there to be criticized!

Umltimately, The Time jumped from 6-1 after their performance. Nobody here may've liked it, but those figures speak for themselves really. Lots of people watched the performance, and thought "Wow, that was amazing", and bought the song.

It says a lot though when the guest performer ends up performing worse than most of the contestants. Heck, I bet even Wagner was on top form that weekend!!!

I Gotta Feeling went back to #11 on US iTunes after the Superbowl, so clearly some people like it. You know, the most downloaded song of all time going back to #11 on iTunes 2 years after it was released. Not an easy thing to do!

Not really. 'I Gotta Feeling' only needs to be played in the background from a scene in eg; Eastenders and it sells another 2,000 downloads within the hour. :D

Well :P I'll reserve judgment until I hear it

Maybe they've done a mash-up of Hey Mama and My Humps. :D Now THAT is something I'd like to have in the charts.

I know it's old news, but I had a feeling Adele wouldn't stay in the top 10 for long :(

Looks like Rizzle Kicks might be headed for the T10 though, but that's not really much of a consolidation...

I never got the love for 'Alors On Danse' either. :puke: But 'Infinity 2008' was amazing. The reason why you think it was huge in 2009 is because it was released in October/November 2008 I think so it just seemed to carry over into 2009 and I guess it was pretty popular in the Summer in 2009 too...
Kinda off topic but 'swagger jagger' is now #4 on ireland itunes wonder if it can get #1 over there?

Infinity 2008 was incredible! :D I agree! Yeah, I think of it as a 2009 song really. That's when I was hearing it most on the radio, at school, etc. The UK tends to be late with European dance hits I guess. Alors on danse was released in 2009 I think, but only got popular in the UK like mid-2010. Similar with Mr. Saxobeat aswell. I first listened to it because it was so high on iTunes in other countries, so I was a bit curious. I'm fed up of it now though.

I loved the music video to Inifinity 2008 aswell.

I don't think it will, I think it'll end up stalling at #2 behind The Wanted like JLS did last week.

I agree with Bre #2 in ireland && #1 in uk :)

 7. Little Bad Girl (feat. Taio Cruz & Ludacris) - David Guetta

 8. Super Bass - Nicki Minaj

LivePopBars seems to be permanently frozen, with Amy still at #7 :drama: Annoying as I wanted to see how JLS' lead is holding up

Anyway, looks like LBG won't break Guetta's top 10 streak after all :D This will be his 6th/7th* top 10 hit in a row and 11th overall.

*Although Gettin' Over You peaked immediately after Memories and before Commander, meaning it can be classed as the start of his current top 10 streak in which LBG will be the 7th, he had 5 other top 100 entries between the top 100 entry dates of GOY and Commander - including Sexy Bitch which entered the top 100 the week after Gettin' Over You (or Gettin' Over as it was at the time). Although since it entered at #86, if you base it on the top 75 instead of the top 100 it's undoubtedly the start of a streak of 7 :P
