July 30, 201113 yr I'm trying my best to catch up here but I've been at my brothers all evening at a BBQ and I'm actually here now feeling quite tipsy. :D Anyways, I'm glad to see that Batidas got through successfully. :dance: Here's to the final and hopefully another top 10 finish which would be rather lovely. :D Also want to congratualte Isconia and Klumzee Republic for getting through to the final. July 30, 201113 yr :lol: Hope you had a good time there :D Batidas are turning out to be one of the most successful countries of this year! :o It was all very last minute. My brother called about 3:30pm saying he had the BBQ set up and some of the family were round. He only lives across the road from us so we walked across which is just as well. :lol: Peri Peri pork steaks, Chinese style chicken wings, massive burgers and sausages all there to eat. Then to top it off we had pineapple and cinnamon rings also cooked on the BBQ. :wub: I clearly drank more than I should but sometimes you can't help it. :D I must stress I'm not drunk but I'm definitely not "sober" at the moment. :lol: I'm just happy that most people have liked the tracks I've entered so far. Long may it contimue. :D

Nice change of direction in the semi, I think this could surprise people! - 7/10 :) I thought it would be a shock qualifier tbh, it really wasn't that bad. Just really different to everything else, which is good obviously!

July 31, 201113 yr Oh my! :nocheer: I am REALLY gutted I didn't make it to the final this time.. as 1) Forever is such a great dance pop tune! (which seemed buzzjack friendly) and 2) this is my third DNQ in a row. I have never DNQ'd three times in a row. Never. Although I'm pleased some people made a discovery out of it, I probably need to lower my criterias on how unknown my chosen artists/songs need to be. For instance, Frida Gold has been #1 in my chart over a month ago and I've loved many songs enough to send in this contest before but I don't because they might be too well known. I don't know what I'm afraid of, I just want at least 90% (preferably 100%) to listen to something completely new. It's so important to give people a discovery it's become an obsession or something. Anyway, I won't give up hope. I've made 10th, 9th, 8th and 7th in the past and I believe there is chance for that to happen again. I won't send something cheap or uninspired even if I DNQ, I will still send something I truly like. Just need to make the right choices! Congratulations to the qualifiers btw! :cheer: Commiserations to Herzebania and Dalisska though which I gave 10 points and 5 points respectively. They were nice discoveries! ^_^
