Robyn out - GAH :(

The Cults song is ancient now, how on earth is it on the upfront list!?! Other than that I'm quite liking the additions this week, Pixie added before Leona and The Saturdays although I'm actually wondering if Leona might be snubbed a la Alexandra, especially after the hoo-hah over the song. Wouldn't be surprised to see them playlist Avicii in the coming weeks though...

Good for Pixie she has a Top 10 hit coming up surprised at no Saturdays or Leona.I am sure Olly will be A-listed next week.Still too many songs that will not bother the Top 40.
Yay for Olly, Joe (See No More may actually be moderately big :o), Ed, Pixie, Katy, Jessie and Bruno!

Is Leona etc. out on the 3rd Sept?

I wonder if they'll support The Kooks as that is also released on the 3rd.

Adele, Katy and Nicki need to get off the A-list.

Suprised at no Saturdays or Leona. I definately think Pixie will go to #1 that week but I think the other two will last longer in the charts.

Given their preferences, most likely yes I'd say.

Very SHOCKED they added Joe Jonas. I like the song though even if it is a smidge generic.

Also love the new All Time Low record. Though R1's whoring of them never really seems to pay off

Considering there's still 4 weeks until the September Smackdown, I wouldn't worry about Leona or The Saturdays yet. If they're still not included in a fortnight it might be the right time.

Great to see continue support for Arctic Monkeys, All Time Low and Kids in Glass Houses - the playlist actually looks quite fresh at the moment. Hopefully Adele and Nicki Minaj will be pushed off next week to give way to Sheeran and Example.

Bruno Mars, Jessie J, Pixie Lott and Katy B are all interesting additions though. No sign of the Saturdays, Leona or the Sugababes - would rather them not playlist them at all. Pixie for #1?

I don't think they will TBH, they didn't support The Feeling's comeback for example.

Anyway, boring week. Good to see Calvin and Modestep moving up to the A-List and Olly on the B-List (I had a feeling he'd end up stalling on C despite R1 showing a lot of support to his previous 3 singles (I think they did anyway? Can't actually remember if Heart On My Sleeve or Busy even got to the A-List now I think about it)). Not particularly interested in the new additions although I should really hear the new Snow Patrol song - despite them being responsible for a certain song I've made my opinion on very clear they are actually a very good band in general.

I concur with gooddelta about Cults - I assume it's getting re-released or something? It's good to see it being supported but it's ANCIENT... I charted it a while ago and I'm pretty sure someone (might have actually been gooddelta) said it was ancient even then!

Happy Calvin Harris is A listed

Suprised the new Foo Fighters song isn't on this week though.

Modestep moving up to the A-list is a very good sign of its future success.

Robyn out! :(

But it was only just beginning to get anywhere near beginning to get close to being popular. :(

Pixie added before Leona and The Saturdays although I'm actually wondering if Leona might be snubbed a la Alexandra, especially after the hoo-hah over the song.

It wouldn't surprise me to be honest. On the other hand, Snow Patrol's new single has been C-listed. This is also released on 5th September and this might be a really odd prediction but I think this could prove to be the shock #1 that week. That said, I've not actually heard the track but I remember when the blandfest that was 'Signal Fire' managed to get as high as #4 in 2007.

Really Hits? I think your predicta radar just failed :( Snow Patrol's new song is 'good' but hardly their best and 2007 was a long time ago in terms of the charts/music industry when rock and indie could actually do well whatever the quality of the song. Regardless of the support, I can't see Called Out In The Dark going top 20 even.
