I heard somewhere that if illegal downloads were included the Black Eyed Peas would've had an extra 6 weeks at number 1 back last summer in the US when they had 24 weeks or whatever it was :o Imagine that!

It was 26 weeks. :kink:

Good grief! That's insane. Not unexpected though, since BEP fans would obviously illegally download more than fans of whoever they were up against (Jay Sean, Lady Gaga, Own City, etc.).

The BEPS started their 6 month run at #1 a few months after I started following the US chart. It was crazy to watch unfold.

Headlines  Climb a bit more please !

THIS. I want to hear it on the radio. This country needs to hear more Drake.

Me too, I hadn't been following the US chart for long but I thought it was a regular thing at first, and they always had such long running number 1s! Well they do sort of, just not to the same extent as BEP had!

I do find it strange seeing Sia and Marc Anthony in the top 40! Both one hit wonders from over ten years ago in the UK, on credited songs at least, I know Sia had a top 40 hit with Zero 7
If there was any justice, Sia would've had a top 10 hit with Clap Your Hands
I wonder if Sietta can go top 10 tomorrow - they're still climbing quite well; and i'm guessing its not that well known that the track is out, so has the possibility of climbing alot more - would be good if it went top 10 then rocketed up the chart with the top 10 effect :D
If David Guetta releases another track next week, he could have 3 songs in the top 10 together! :o

The way the sales are; it is a possibility tbh

About 4 hours later (now LPB is updated)...

JLS 100% (=)

Guetta ~92.1% (+0.9)

Nero ~88.5% (+3.1) ▲

Cher ~88.3% (+0.6) ▼

Perri ~80.7% (-4.3 :drama:)

Ed ~74.0% (+0.5)

Wanted ~72.6% (+1.1)

Rizzle ~64.7% (+0.8)

Beyoncé ~62.0% (+0.7)

Fresh ~55.7% (+0.4)

#100 Jessie - NP 5.3245% (+0.2114)

Perri plummetting :( Ed and The Wanted are going to re-overtake her at this rate... Nero 3.6% behind Guetta now :D JLS back in descent.

Nearly another 4 hours later (but these pop bars have been the same for a while and they are as usual behind as they still have Kaisers at #90)

JLS 100% (=)

Guetta ~93.9% (+1.8)

Nero ~90.8% (+2.3)

Cher ~87.3% (-1.0)

Perri ~79.6% (-1.1)

Ed ~73.3% (-0.7)

Wanted ~72.1% (-0.5)

Rizzle ~63.6% (-1.1)

Beyoncé ~61.7% (-0.3)

Fresh ~56.0% (+0.3)

#100 Jessie - PT 5.4195% (+0.0950)

Nero have broken 90% :D

There's a 9% gap between #10 and #11. And 'Titanium' isn't climbing that quickly. I think it'll start going into freefall before it even gets to #11.
Looks like Nero probably will get the #1 on Sunday then! Glad my predictions from a few weeks ago will be proven right so far - although I wouldn't have expected it to go to #1 on potentially 35-40k, I didn't think we'd stoop back down to sales like that for a long time considering the #10 often clears 30k these days...

Why is everyone tracking I predict a riot? It's been used on Mtv alot for Geordie Shore..

Nicole Scherzinger should be at number #30 soon :cheer:

01. Jls - She Make Me Wanna 100%

02. David Guetta - Little Bad Girl 93.8%

03. Nero - Promises 90%

The Wanted - Glad You Came #5th Combined.

Really? Isn't it obvious?

Its climbed a fair old way today; tbh though I could see it getting to 11 and becoming stuck (like so many other songs)

The low sales sort of make me want Nero to not be #1 as I'd rather it be completely forgotten than remembered in a 'how the f*** did this get to #1' way...

However, I do still very much want it to get #1 :P Emphasis on the 'sort of' in that first sentence
