If Saturdays get to number one before Pixie they should get a boost as whoever goes to number one on iTunes gets a good boost.

Uk iTunes

01. Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger 100%

02. The Saturdays - All Fired Up 84.1% (Going so much faster than Missing You ever went with double promotion)

03. Pixie Lott - All About Tonight 63.1% (20% behind The Saturdays who are still gaining is quite alot)

10. Bruno Mars - Marry You 34.4%

11. Leona Lewis - Collide 32%

134. The Saturdays - All Fired Up (Extended Mix)

169. The Saturdays - Notorious (It was #250 yesterday :cheer:)

Album Chart

05. Pixie Lott - All About Tonight

06. Leona Lewis - Collide

22. The Saturdays - All Fired Up (Remixes)

I am surprised that I have not been as looning as much as people expected! I've been fairly quiet but so happy for Saturdays & hope Pixie climbs to number two, I really don't know who I want at number one

Maroon 5 and Christina are at #1. Regardless of whether Maroon 5, Pixie Lott, Leona Lewis or the Saturdays get #1 - they'll still mark the seventh one-weeker in a row - not far off the nine-in-a-row we had in the latter half of 2010.

Unless Maroon 5 are #1 today :P

Seen a few people retweeting on Twitter how a song called 'Collide' would be an unfortunately titled no.1 for next Sunday!

Bit crass but it doesn't look like that's going to happen now anyway. I've always thought Collide wasn't instant enough, it just takes forever to get going though it has definitely grown on me, I did wake up with the chorus in my head this morning.

Have to say All Fired Up has surprised me, have they done many TV performances of it? I've seen it once on Tonight's The Night, but that was 2, maybe 3 weeks ago.

Ideally want Moves Like Jagger to bag no.1 though, have a feeling it's just going to hang around for ages without ever making it.

The problem with the Saturdays is that they don't sound like a #1-deserving girl group. The likes of Girls Aloud and Sugababes have actually produced songs that'll stand the test of time - the Saturdays have done no such thing.

What irritates me most is that they practically beg for their fans to get them to #1 - when really they should be more concerned with the single selling well - if I remember correctly - none of their singles have surpassed sales of 400k.

 I have not seen them beg fans to purchase All Fired Up in the slightest  They have informed fans it's available to download! Such a terrible thing to do, I mean an artist giving fans a link to their songs AWFUL them. They have sold over 3million in the Uk alone, what is very impressive. Saturdays have produced excellent songs? Higher,Ego,Up,Notorious,AllFiredUp and much more. Such an awful comment.

 Name one

Most of them are already dead but it all depends on how you define the 'test of time'

So I'm no expert on iTunes, but is it possible to judge roughly where Leona/Pixie/The Sats are when their album chart placings are taken into account? I'd hope that it places Leona firmly in the Top 10 but I don't know if it works like that.

Leona finally #10... hopefully she can continue to rise quite quickly now :-S
It would be good to see the Saturdays get no.1 without acting desperate (Missing You). If they keep it that way they may get it. I don't think much of the song on first listen but it may grow on me. Snow Patrol's is my fave new release but there's no chance of that getting no.1.

Her management are acting desperate though, welovepop is spamming twitter, they're promoting the single on the GA facebook page and they're using the GA fan email and mobile numbers list to send messages to GA fans to buy The Saturdays' single...

I would happily say 'About You Now' by Sugababes will be remembered for years to come. Likewise, hits like 'Sound of the Undergroud' and 'Love Machine' will be remembered for years to come. 'Notorious' is an appalling song to put forward as an example of an 'excellent' Saturdays song. Fair enough, 'Ego' and 'Up' are decent - but none of their songs are 'excellent' or 'amazing'.

The Saturdays getting No.1 would be quite the shock, but I think MLJ's longevity will outsell AFU. This all seems pretty similiar to the Missing You/Club Can't Handle Me debacle from last year. I still wouldn't rule out Pixie Lott yet, surely she'll catch up eventually?

They also have an entry at 129, plus the EP, every little helps ;)

Melanie C - Think About It for #1 :w00t:

I love how The Saturdays ALWAYS put up a good chart battle.

Just Can't Get Enough.

Missing You - Will It Make Number One

Higher - Will It Make Top 10

All Fired Up - Close battle!
