March 8, 201213 yr Dear lord, the BBC Eurovision team need to be replaced asap. I'll offer to do it for them for FREE, that's how much I'm annually embarrassed by the actions of these people. Only Keith Mills would do a worse job than the current team. I too will do it for them for free. Well, as long as they pay for my rent and car :heehee:
March 8, 201213 yr Just saw something Tom Kay put on Twitter, supposedly from Engelbert's niece/nephew: http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showpost.ph...p;postcount=431 'Slow ballad/country song'? :( Also :o at Pixie nearly getting it!
March 8, 201213 yr I'd have loved to see Pixie do it actually, I know I'm in a dying breed of her remaining fans on here though
March 8, 201213 yr Who is that Katie person and what is she on?! Pixie would have been pretty awesome actually. I bet that's the same Katie who blocked Katie Melua, Hurts and Patrick Wolf in favour of Pete Waterman in 2010...

I bet that's the same Katie who blocked Katie Melua, Hurts and Patrick Wolf in favour of Pete Waterman in 2010... Agreed. Plus it would probably be a chart hit pre-contest for once, lets face it, she got Kiss The Stars into the top ten  She's even featuring on a new top ten single this week, she racks up the hits quietly without anybody even noticing, 10 top 20 hits in three years now! Everytime The Flood comes on shuffle I think of what could have been :nocheer: Katie Taylor needs sacking post haste. http://www.bbc.co.uk/aboutthebbc/insidethe...s/taylor_katie/ £160,000 a year, it beggars belief :/

Dear god sack that bint asap before she kills that too. I think we should email the BBC Rich and tell them we'll take over her job for substantially less money. That Digital Spy post is unreal. Pixie Lott would have been the far superior choice. She's current, semi-popular throughout the UK and Europe and has enough credibility in the UK to make people interested in seeing how she does. Pixie would have been a superb step in the right direction (That should have included Katie Melua). Hell if it wasn't for this bloody Katie woman we would be well on our way to being in a similar position to SVT/NRK/DR etc and having to turn down some of the countries biggest stars. (Clearly that would be in many years time.)
March 8, 201213 yr Did anyone else see this yet: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/tvandra...ion-for-UK.html Hmm
March 8, 201213 yr Yep, it was discussed a few posts back :P And I agree Phil, the BBC could employ us, shave 20k off her salary (the Eurovision bit) and hand over the reins to people with some knowledge of the music industry in 2012 :/
March 9, 201213 yr They nearly sent The Darkness? I would have enjoyed that, at least. They nearly sent Justin Hawkins in 2007. Tbh it was much better than what we ended up with. 5b3kY4ONnTs That Calvin song is 5 years old? :o
March 9, 201213 yr I literally can't bring myself to watch anything from the 2007 MYMU after Cyndi-gate. I'm still not over that.
March 9, 201213 yr I've only just discovered the existence of this Katie woman and I already hate her! Christ at her decisions.
March 9, 201213 yr Slow ballad/country song? Oh well, this is going to be a MASSIVE TRAINWRECK then :D

March 9, 201213 yr I think we could have done really well if we sent that. :o (Though I did love Scooch.) Have you ever seen Cyndi - I'll Leave My Heart? The song that Scooch and Barrowman knocked into second. :arrr:
March 9, 201213 yr Have you ever seen Cyndi - I'll Leave My Heart? The song that Scooch and Barrowman knocked into second. :arrr: Yeah, I watched the National Final. It's the one where Big Brovaz (Big Bro Thang is one of my favourite songs of all time) was in it... I wasn't too keen on Cyndi tbh, but we didn't stand a chance with my personal favourite, and I shamelessly loved Scooch too!
March 9, 201213 yr But surely a ballad/slow country song is the key to getting the jury's top marks? I honestly think the BBC know what they're doing with Engelbert. Or at least I'd like to think they know what they're doing. But I still agree with the fact we need to send someone current and fresh. Pixie - God no. She's atrocious live.
March 9, 201213 yr There are already a lot of ballads entered this year though. You're going to have stiff competition from Italy and Spain when it comes to jury votes.
March 9, 201213 yr Italy are going to be the big winners with the juries this year, I'm near sure of it! Spain have a good ballad too, but it's not up there with 'Per Sempre' in all honesty. Could this be the year that all of the big five finish in the top half?! When was the last time that happened with the big four/five?
