September 10, 201114 yr The success of '1' just from being added to iTunes is amazing, hopefully it'll stay top 5 for Sunday but Will Young will likely knock them out. I think '19' will climb back to #6 or 7 as well and RHCP will equal Nero's 1-8 drop. It's also being repromoted in shops in a new digipak form (as opposed to the previous standard CD case version) with extra shelf space and being restocked in supermarkets too. There's no promotion as good as actually seeing something right in front of your face and being tempted by it! I bought 1 finally during this week (on CD not iTunes)!

With iTunes being a 48 hour that means M5 probably overtook her in real time around Wednesday afternoon, ie. the middle of the chart week. So they've had a similar lead to that which she had earlier on, but they also led her most of Sunday (although probably not as she was only selling on ~20 hours' sales).

September 10, 201114 yr It's not going to be close between them at all, Maroon 5 were a full 12.9k behind on Friday and are only selling around a third more than Pixie. I can't see the gap being under 5k.

September 10, 201114 yr poor MLJ it IS going to be the Love The Way You Lie of 2011 lol. A song that just kept on missing #1 by a hair due to barely bad timing (when during any other normal or slower week it wouldve instantly had it in the bag) same thing with Gagas BTW - if it wouldve come out Sun instead of Fri it wouldve hit #1.
