No problem guys, it'll likely only be this week as I'm a Sats nut but glad to help anyway :D

Do you know the sales difference between Will and The Beatles please :D

Anyone know the difference in sales between 2 and 3? Just out of curiosity? :D

Peace has been restored - that the Saturdays are set to debut at #3 - it just wasn't meant to be. Meanwhile, Maroon 5 have edged nearer to that #1 spot yet again, I can see them being a non-mover at #2 next week too - behind One Direction.

Pleasantly surprised to see Example at #1 and Guetta at #3 in the albums chart - thought they'd have fallen during the week. Just a shame PJ Harvey has only re-entered at #25 - especially when the xx managed to peak at #3 last year following the Mercury Prize win.

No Gaga - Y&I in the top 40?

Should think she'll be 44 or something now :D If she don't fall out the top 40 on itunes by early next week I reckon she'll make it.

To be fair the XX had spent the previous 8 weeks between #10 and #16 anyway so it's not really comparable. If PJ can get towards the top 15 that would be a success.
lol at the saturdays still not going number 1..good luck to little joe

Look at Joe rising! :o :D

Happy for him, and it is a delightful, great album as someone said!

Cream always rises to the top!

Good on Joe McElderry for bounicng back so well, i hope the album continues to sell for him even though its not my cup of tea.

Mel C still top 40 today so hopefully she will stay in for sunday.

The sales in the singles chart are great, i hope they all sell well over the weekend,i think the fri mids top 4 is exactly how it will be on sunday although i would love maroon 5 to snatch the number 1 spot at the last minute.

The success of '1' just from being added to iTunes is amazing, hopefully it'll stay top 5 for Sunday but Will Young will likely knock them out. I think '19' will climb back to #6 or 7 as well and RHCP will equal Nero's 1-8 drop.

'Classic' looks like it could have some serious staying power, it looks like everyone was far too quick in writing off Joe! Obviously he's very unlikely to have a hit single again but he could be an albums force for years to come if he sticks to opera stuff.

Thanks for all your contributions this week and your comments, 1D have got it in the bag for next week, Matt Cardle after that most likely and than the X Factor charity track, there seems to be a theme going... X Factor all the way till Xmas... joy... :drama:

You've missed out a few weeks there. Matt isn't out until 4 weeks after 1D - Dappy and Sak Noel will probably both get #1 in the first 2 weeks of that 3-week gap but then the third week is a bit open, Sak could get a second week.

Tbh, I think that was a great move by Joe, it has been proven by artists like robbie williams with swing when you're winning that making an album in which the main focus is based on a genre that is slightly outside the comfort zone of that artists singing ability. It shows that if the artist can nail that particular style you're are aiming for, it makes it so much easier for labels to promote their artists and for artists to show off both their versatility and vocal ability

I was sticking my neck out 1D might hold on for a couple of weeks :D

Glad The Sats are at 3 today, at least we know they're safe for 3 come Sunday :)

What a great post - I entirely agree with you. Pity Robbie went back to his other style after SWYW!
