 they're pretty much interchangable threads this week.

ha, blonde moment!

So Moves Like Jagger is 2011's version of Love The Way You Lie in terms of peaks and probably sales...

I would be extremely impressed if it tops 900k eventually given it's not even on 200k yet. Well, it wasn't on Sunday. It might be now. 600k looks very much achievable though, and probably top 10 for the year :D

Making a rough estimation supposing that M5 are the steadiest big sellers of the week and their sales are spead throughout the week:

Sunday + Monday Pixie:40k / M5:26k

Tuesday + Wednesday Pixie:20k / M5:18k

Thursday Pixie: 8k / M5:9k (so Pixie should be 15k ahead)

Friday + Saturday Pixie ? / M5:26k

So Pixie will have to do only 12k or so in the remaining to days to get the no1... Only way to lose it is to be less than 50% of M5 until tomorrow night...

(how likely is that?)

Sales until Sunday should looks like this imo: (I could be slightly overestimating everybody but it shouldn't change the positions)

no1 Pixie: 85k

no2 Maroon 5: 78k

no3 Sats: 70k

no4 Leona 60k (?)

Such a shame for M5, the have no chance of getting the no1 now. Also no4 peak is not good enough for Leona but I cannot see her higher than 4 next week :(

Albums

1. Example - 35k

2. Adele (21) - 29,2

3. David Guetta - 16,1

4. Beatles - 14,3

5. Joe McElderry - 14,1

I don't why everyone is suprised with Joe TBH. This is exactly what he needs to stick to. People are liking it more and more and buying it because he's doing opera not pop. Hence why its sticking around. I wouldn't be suprised to see it stick around at least the top 20 till the end of the year.

Thanks, those album sales are not looking that healthy, I imagine Example will have to settle around 56-60k by the end of the week

The Saturdays will definitly drop to #3 now, maroon 5 are number 1 on itunes now, i dount it will catch up on pixie but it might give pixie a decent run for her money.
Pleases me The Saturdays won't be number 1. They can do a million times better than that. Anyway I'm pleased Maroon 5 are staying around. The UK finally have some sense. I think most people except Bre are finding this of deserving success :D

But its still a better track than Pixies.

Pixies song sounds like it was designed by committee.

hopefully with her remix in the top 130 (?) (havent seen full updates today), plus the EP, plus the lead through the first half of the week, Leona may still hold onto 4... but i can see it being quite tight for positions 4, 5 and 6 by the weekend! :-S

I cant. I'll be surprised if Example is within 5k of Leona, she's still ahead combined on iTunes and its too late for him to overtake now

At least Pixie's song has verses

The Saturdays seem to have lost the whole idea of the concept of verses and choruses, judging by Notorious and All Fired Up. They're like the new Black Eyed Peas. They use a similar amount of autotune aswell.

That said, I do prefer The Saturdays's tune, out of the two.

Pixie Lott's All About Tonight > The Saturdays's All Fired Up.

One is very generic pop but the other is just a hot mess. A mess which I nevertheless still like :P

No she isn't? She's on 50%, Example has one version on 45% and another on 12.9% (which puts Example very close to The Sats).

Yeah cos that's worked for Rhydian.
