September 7, 201114 yr Risky prediction there :P Anyway, One Direction could end the weekly turnover at the top, depends on whether Dappy gets enough support the week after. And then for about a month after that there really doesn't seem to be much out so either Sak Noel will get a surprise #1 or perhaps a lingerer could climb up with low sales (Maroon 5 if they're still hanging around). Not sure what sort of longevity One Direction will have but I'd imagine it will be more than Dappy's so they could always return to #1... Isn't the Bennett/Winehouse single coming out next week, got to be a contender for number one
September 7, 201114 yr I'm shocked at how bad Mel C is doing. I thought "Think About It" might sneak a top 40 placement!
September 7, 201114 yr So yesterday Pixie overturned the sales of Sats two b-sides, ~6k in one day! Or The Sats sales were being double counted? not beyond the realms of possiblity, given how close they were in sales.
September 7, 201114 yr Author Isn't the Bennett/Winehouse single coming out next week, got to be a contender for number one Its on the coming soon list of the release schedule. There isn't any buzz surrounding this track, most likely get scrapped at the last minute.
September 7, 201114 yr Its on the coming soon list of the release schedule. There isn't any buzz surrounding this track, most likely get scrapped at the last minute. It'll be available on iTunes to be cherry picked off his album but I really don't see it doing massively well. How far can an album track with no promo really get? I know a single release was talked about too though so we'll see but I think people may have been over optimistic about its chances of being a huge hit single...
September 7, 201114 yr Rihanna's 'Loud' chart run since the beginning of August stands at (12-10-14-11-10-19) - so it was awful to see it at #34 in yesterday's update. It's managed to climb 6 places to #28 in a day, but dropping 18 places in two weeks is still quite shocking - especially with 'Man Down' and 'Cheers' still circulating. Also, it's drop to #19 on Sunday was the lowest position it's been in it's 42 week chart-run. Would be a shame for it to start tumbling now, but I think once all the new releases start to fall it'll reclaim a T20 position.

Its probably just a blip, her concert kicks in 5th, 6th & 13th Oct with dates for Nov and Dec, at the O2, it was advertised last year on the X Factor, and probably get a X Factor performance out of it. ;)
September 7, 201114 yr Snow Patrol are going to be 17 on Itunes shortly so that must mean by seeing they are 11 on todays updates they'll be top 10 tommorow. Edited September 7, 201114 yr by Rob Summers

September 7, 201114 yr Pleasantly surprised and f***ing over the moon to see Mel C climb, shame the single is completely bombing but there's no accounting for taste these days.
September 7, 201114 yr I HATE to dampen spirits but either there was a mistake yesterday, or there's been one today, as I've been sent: Pixie 51k, Sats 41k, Maroon 5 36k To my mind, it's impossible that Pixie would have sold 12k, Maroon 5 10k and the Sats only 3k throughout yesterday, so there must be an error along the line. I only hope it's with todays figures and will be corrected tomorrow, as opposed to Tuesday's figures. Although given how surprised we all were, the latter seems more likely :( :(
September 7, 201114 yr Great to see that Maroon 5 isn't actually that far off :D I predict it'll stay at 3 for most of the week and like last week overtake in the last update and chart at 2.

Although given how surprised we all were, the latter seems more likely :( :( Maybe the Saturdays sales given yesterday included the ones of the two b-sides already added, but Spidey's theory earlier was correct and that they were already in the total, but had been counted twice. No one really knows that happens when that occurs, everyone just assumes they're added to the total of the correct song but does anyone actually know if that is the case? Because usually when it happens its to the number one single which is already so far out in front no one will notice one way or the other! Edit: Although MW was consistent in reporting Pixie only 1.2k ahead, but Spidey's theory could well be correct still.

September 7, 201114 yr Yup, I'm gutted, I am no expert but I would guess the figures from Tuesday were wrong :(
September 7, 201114 yr I actually feel bad for the Saturdays. not only do they often lose out to no.1 in weeks like this but now the information is so all over the place! Still I hope Maroon 5 can overtake.
