Well I imagined that's what you were implying. Someone pointed out that 21 could sell for years considering about 50+ million people in the UK haven't bought it yet and you jumped in and started blabbing about illegal downloads in such a defensive way. It kind of suggests that's what you thought. Perhaps you should be clearer in your posts. Besides hardly a lot of people will have illegally downloaded Adele because not that many people would illegally download albums imo.

Another thing a lot of illegal downloaders most probably do is instead of downloading the whole album illegally just do it track by track.

I pointed out that yes 3million have purchased it, but not everyone in the UK or Worldwide for that matter download legally, so we cant even measure how many more people actually have the album. I agree with what the other person had said, i do sometimes think how can 21 still be selling so much and its at 3million copies! 3 million! Its incredible. The illegal numbers of people who have downloaded it must just be sky high.

 

I think i was clear enough in my post, i think maybe you should read it and think about it a little more instead of jumping in, if you're unclear just ask. :)

So Saturdays are over 5,000 sales ahead of Pixie Lott then. Their third midweek number one! Does anyone think they might still be number one in tomorrow's midweeks as 5,000 is a lot for Pixie to gain on the Saturdays in a day, and The Saturdays will still be selling physicals etc?

 

Top 2 is guaranteed for The Saturdays now I believe.

According to the report, it's Pixie Lott who is currently at #1 - so top 2 isn't guaranteed for the girls - Maroon 5 / Christina could easily overtake now as they are pulling ahead on iTunes.

 

^^ There's a 12k gap now between #2 and #3. They also have 2 of their b-sides in the Top 40 which I wrekkon too is about 5k in sales which are yet to combined with All Fired Up. Which is an estimated gap of 17k. Maroon 5 have only just over-taken them, and their lead on The Saturdays is still small (4%) compared The Sats lead of 25% on Sunday night. I don't think Maroon 5 will close that gap of '17k'.

Back to the legal sales of the real chart, i think Saturdays have a top 3 placing secured, its quite a big gap, sure it'll be frontloaded but not sure they'll drop a massive amount throughout the week, but it may be pretty close come Sunday.

I dont see this as an argument at all but thats up to you how you see it.

 

I wonder if Example will stay at #1or if Adele could get it back, hopefully she'll win the mercury prize, but i dont think she will it may go to a less mainstream album.

anyways, great sales :D I'm gonna take it as the Sats are number 1 with all their combined versions, but all that tells us is Pixie has number 1 in the bag, as the Sats will decrease over the week and Maroon 5 are over 12k behind so pose no threat

 

nice to see SP top 15 as well, I really hope they can at least hold on to top 20 by the end of the week :(

 

good to see Example at number 1, although if Adele wins the Mercury then she will undoubtedly be number 1, I do kind of hope she doesn't, just really because she doesn't really need the sales boost :lol:

Gutted for Melanie - her new album really is fantastic and to be limping in with a midweek position of 33 is really sad. Will probably drop later too......

Thats right, we really have no idea, so we cant say there is still the whole rest of the population to go because we havent got a clue who owns the album and who doesnt :lol: All we know is the legal sales are really huge, and 21 could be one of or eventually the biggest selling album in the UK of all time. :o

Can we just stick to the mids seems the topic is drifting else where.

While Mel C's album position is disapointing to some, im delighted as i thought it would chart lower, hopefully it can hold top 40 but it should beat the #59 peak of her last album. Joe McElderry again holding top 10, fair play to him,looks like the album might have some staying power which is good for him. I hope example holds number 1 in the album chart but adele could well overtake especially when reports start coming out about her passing 3 million sales which will probably happen thursday i reckon.

 

Wow at the singles top 4, really didnt expect the saturdays to have such strong sales, to be honest i like pixie, leona and the saturdays but am not a huge huge fan of any but in a way id love the saturdays to get their first number 1, they really are craving to get it aswell.

 

Either way, good to see some excitement back in the charts and good to see decent sales will be had in the whiole top 5 again.
