ah, that makes a sense, they be combined tomorrow, so everything between Nos29 and 40 will be 2 places higher

If Adele wins the Mercury Prize tonight then she could well be back at number one on Sunday. Elbow have dropped out of the top 40 so far but, again, will return if they win.

27 The Saturdays [Ladykiller] [estimated - about 4k]

34 The Saturdays [i Need A Dollar] [estimated - about 3k]

 

Basically, they've charted at 2 with AFU on the sales of AFU on the iTunes SINGLE chart. The entry at 27 is the physical copy sales. The entry at 34 is the iTunes EP sales. This has happened a few times in the midweeks with other artists (It always happens with JLS - the physical charts under the bside but by Wed/Thurs they combine it, happened with Olly Murs recently too).

 

SO, combine the sales of all 3 and The Sats are on about 45k - ESTIMATED. They are DEFINITELY on higher than 40,000 at the moment which is amazing. It's highly unlikely they'll hang onto number 1 because Pixie is way ahead on iTunes at the moment, but they're pretty safe at number 2 (Maroon 5 are about 15k behind them)

Anyhoo it's already been confirmed that 'Ladykiller' and 'I Need A Dollar' will be combined anyway now.

 

That's a great start for Pixie and The Saturdays for their sales! Wasn't expecting The Sats to start on 40k! So we're possibly looking at around 70-80k come Sunday if they don't go into free-fall? That would be their biggest first week sales to date, after Just Can't Get Enough did 60-something-k and Missing You did 50-something-k.

The same as most people going on about the Saturdays on here (it was only yesterday people were saying they had a good chance of number 1)

 

15 hours ago they were 7% above maroon 5 on itunes, now they're behind.....if thats not frontloaded then i don't know what is.

 

I'm pretty sure maroon 5 will get number 2, The Saturdays aren't even safe at number 3, not by a long shot

 

We shall see on Sunday then? :D

 

By the way, I am in no way a Saturdays fan - I don't care for their new single at all, just being a bit of a realist here.

I really really hope THE SATS make #1! They work so hard and derserve that #1 spot! But I like Pixie to get it other ys. But THE SATS I so hope GET #1! x

I think The Sats are pretty safe at #2 now, 15k is a massive gap. And I'm going to count this as a third midweek #1 for them since it clearly should be #1 but isn't due to an error :P

 

Also, Maroon 5 overtaking The Sats on iTunes would have been aided by the second version being deleted, so it doesn't mean as much as you may think. I'm sure they will build up a lead over The Sats by the end of the week though and they'll probably get back to #1 on iTunes too. But I can't see them being any higher than #3 now with the sales info we have.

 

Example album #1 :D Although I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Adele ends up retaking it by the weekend, especially if it wins the Mercury (I doubt it will but it's a possibility). We may see PJ Harvey back in the top 10/20 by the weekend.

 

What's with the elderly female singers scoring their best charting albums ever recently? Okay so there's only been 2 of them and Doris isn't even certain but still!

Brilliant sales, especially for the Sats - possibly their first single to go gold? As far as I'm aware - they have only got silver so far (Ego, Up & Higher) :D
