September 11, 201114 yr They'll skip Maroon 5 next. Then again, Will is getting a play and he's not on the playlist. ROFL, could you imagine? It would be so funny if it was at #1... "That was Pixie Lott at number two and the number one is by Maroon 5. I've been Reggie and now it's time for Tom's show!" :lol:Â I love that line too. Lots of great lines in the song. But did you know the song is about taking drugs? :lol:Â I didn't, but I did wonder if trumpets were a metaphor for something in this song and it explains some of it in the video when he uses the trumpet and falls into the wall and wakes up somewhere else. Even more clever! :D
September 11, 201114 yr What a shame! I really thought they would sneak in to top 10 at #10 in the end!
September 11, 201114 yr GUTTED this isn't top 10 :snif: It's their biggest hit for three years at least. Still can't get over the fact that Nicole Scherzinger recorded Just Say Yes
September 11, 201114 yr What is 'Elephant'? :huh:Â The title of Alexandra's new single I'm lead to believe, I thought it was a joke when I heard earlier.
September 11, 201114 yr f***, Snow Patrol at 11 :( (although I must admit I didn't expect it to be top 10), still 11's pretty good for a guitar band these days, its a really good song, sounds so different for them Edited September 11, 201114 yr by C.W
September 11, 201114 yr I'm quite disappointed that Snow Patrol didn't get top ten with this. It's probably in my top five of their singles. Hopefully it'll have had good sales though to make up for the frustrating peak!

Even more clever! :DÂ Â Actually can you imagine the uproar on here if they skipped the Saturdays? He's not chatting to them this week and he usually does........
September 11, 201114 yr What is 'Elephant'? :huh:Â Alexandra Burke's new single, even though it has not even been confirmed to be called Elephant - she has said it is named after an animal and she tweeted a picture of her birthday cake last week, which was the shape of an elephant. It premieres tomorrow, I think?
September 11, 201114 yr I didn't, but I did wonder if trumpets were a metaphor for something in this song and it explains some of it in the video when he uses the trumpet and falls into the wall and wakes up somewhere else. Even more clever! :DÂ Yeah. The trumpet=cannabis, basically. And there's the bit where they meet that guy in a secret location, and give him fake money in exchange for a "trumpet". :lol:Â This Snow Patrol is surprisingly good imo.
September 11, 201114 yr Well, this is different from most other Snow Patrol singles. Good on first listen, at least, and it isn't sleep-inducing like Chasing Cars at least, more on the side of Run (which means good, considering those are the two I'm most familiar with).
September 11, 201114 yr (33) Ms. Dynamite-Neva Soft Good tune from her. Too bad she couldn't break through here despire being a musical guest on SNL
September 11, 201114 yr surprised snow patrol did okay with this and should get around 4 weeks in the top 40 which isnt too bad for a old rock band from earlier in the noughties!!

September 11, 201114 yr "Will the Saturdays FINALLY get that #1 that they've been crying out for"? Thing is, they've literally been crying out for it.
