How can I see the popularity bars in iTunes 9 & 10?

Use this link: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore...aultSeeAllSongs

Then select 'View' and tick 'popularity', alternatively, in the headings bar (Artist, Album, Time, etc), right click and select 'popularity'

Isn't it supposed to be 1000 replies when it's closed? I missed out AGAIN on making a new thread! :drama:

No it's when the thread reaches 50 pages. This is the 2nd time I've done this :kink:

Well, we now have 2 threads. Awkward.

EDIT: Not any more. Pffft. Mine was better.

Fixed, I had no idea which would get merged with which (first time I've done a merge), so please no-one be annoyed with me! :(

Can the updates that I so painfully typed out in my subtitle be added back in please?

One Direction already falling? 48 hour chart theory proved wrong again :drama:

Collide's been a bit all over the place these last 24 hours!

We've discussed this before - the 48 hour chart theory has been proved correct beyond doubt where songs get deleted falling off the top 1000 feed after exactly 48 hours.

Therefore given that it is DEFINITELY a 48-hour chart, and Wand are dropping which means everyone must be selling more now than at the equivalent time on Saturday (which is just simply illogical given the proportion of people at home now compared with the comparable time on Saturday), it simply means that the iTunes chart is a 48-hour WEIGHTED (i.e. not linear) chart, where more recent sales (within the rolling 48-hour period) carry a higher weighting into the popularity bar percentage than sales that took place earlier in the rolling-48-hour period.

Simples :)

on the Coldplay discussion in the last thread, their album is now 10th on the Itunes album chart on pre-orders alone :P I'm sure this will sell 200-300k in it's opening week, I don't think it will come close to their first three albums, but then again, they sold LOADS
Goddd I wish I could make the iTunes thread one day! :(

Good luck with that. Even a UK Chart Forum ~HEAVYWEIGHT~ like myself has only made 1 of these threads. They go quickly. :kink:

Mylo Xyloto will have no trouble at all getting a very good first week sale (even if it does turn out to be disappointing by their extremely high standards) - it's more how it'll hold up after that that I'm worried about. ETIAW had a very decent chart run, initial drop out of the top 40 after 2 weeks aside, so I do have some hope MX could be another big album for them.

I don't think the bizarre hard-to-spell album title will do them any favours.

I can see Coldplay doing first week - 130-50k (bigger than Foo Fighters) and possibly a million in total if they're consistent and if the new single has some success. ;)

Great to see the numbers in the subtitle :D As I'll be at school for the next few weeks (not that the thread will last that long ) it's good that I don't have to update it all the time :kink: :kink:

Having said that I've updated:

 14 - Coldplay 'Paradise'

 15 - Noel Gallagher 'AKA... What a Life!'

I'd imagine Coldplay will have an X Factor performance which will send their sales rocketing.

They've never performed on X Factor have they? One performance would send sales for everything Coldplay related rocketing.

I've listened to Paradise, and it is amazing! I had rather high expectations for this, and they were met. So this can continue the trend of Coldplay 2nd singles>>>>>Coldplay lead singles, imo.

Pleased it's almost top 10 as well, hopefully it can make it.
