Yeah. It's a shame. :( I think You Need Me is SO much better. I expected The A Team to do better overall still, but at the same time, I though You Need Me would've done better than it's doing now.

I suppose one could argue people chose to buy the album instead but I don't think anyone expected a 4-10-14 (?) chart run after how big The A Team was. I expected #1 and huge longevity.

Me too. I was expecting a #1 and short longevity (I expected a quick fall down the charts like 90% of other held-back British songs, so I got that bit right I guess, just thought it'd peak higher with first-week sales like the ones Heart Skips a Beat got).

I expected #2 and decent longevity. I never really considered the possibility of Ed Sheeran beating Example but I did think #2 was fairly guaranteed and I thought both songs would have far higher sales.

I didn't think Ed would beat Example with YNMIDNY - I wouldn't say Ed's release was very commericial or was really going to earn him any new fans + the song is a bit niche IMO.

 

Example is still propped up anyway with his 2nd entry in the top 40; hence why he is top 5 in the mids (or at least yesterdays mids anyway)

Joe Goddard in the top 40 is amazing, I really hope it can keep climbing and get there officially!

As Robbie pointed out in the mids thread it seems highly likely 'Paradise' will be excluded from the chart entirely this week and every week until the album's release, by which time it'll be selling next to nothing anyway :(

Well I've good as given away my entry around the personal chart forum too :lol: I think it's just really there on paper - I'm not demeaning the rules or anything but I think you can get away with all but naming your entry :lol:

I don't know or care about whatever this secret is but can people please not mention it if details aren't going to be given? It seems pointless and sounds like it's only tenuously linked to the thread topic.
