N Dubz perhaps? If it has a couple of new songs on there :)

N-Dubz are going to release one, Dappy said that they'll release one as their last release together. (I suspect they'll reform some time down the line anyway though)

She's had 7 albums (well five if you combine the three parts of Body Talk) and a hit-making career spanning back to the mid 90s! Even purely taking her UK singles you could have a tracklist of;

1. With Every Heartbeat (with Kleerup)

2. Dancing On My Own

3. Be Mine

4. Handle Me

5. Hang With Me

6. Indestructible

7. Who's That Girl

8. Call Your Girlfriend

9. Konichiwa Bitches

10. Show Me Love

11. Do You Really Want Me

12. Do You Know (What It Takes)

13. You've Got That Somethin'

14. Dream On (with Christian Falk)

15. The Girl & The Robot (with Royksopp)

16. *new song*

17. *new song*

and that's before even considering some of her other 2000-2005 hits in Sweden and her other collaborations which would make for a more complete 'Ultimate Collection'!

That would be awful though, the old material would not sit at all well beside her newer material. I'd rather wait a couple more albums and just have a best of from the singles released on Konichiwa.

greenday def need a new one their last 2 studio albums have some of their biggest hits on it - there s at least 8 new songs they could put on it plus 2 new ones!!

I'm not familiar with ANY pre-Robyn Robyn. So I would only be able to do a recent singles anthology which could just about squeeze into a mini-collection I guess! :P Show Me Love I think I've heard, but that's about it, would be interesting if she done o e as to see what she would include. :o Keep This Fire Burning was covered Bevy-K wasn't it, I liked her version so hopefully Robyn's is just as good.

Yeah it'd be a bit like dannii minogues in that respect, which was rather strange.

Usher is definitely overdue. He's had loads of big singles and tonnes of albums surprised he hasn't yet. Never invested in any of his studio sets but would probably pick up his GH because of that, think it could be a big seller (though pinks has underperformed a bit imho, though believe it'll sell steadily for ages)

Maybe she could release a double album, Rob + Bin. :P

i wonder if take that will send out a greatest hits..there last proper one was in 1996 (although they repackaged the same one basically 10 years later and sold 2.2million of it) so it could be due for an update?

Usher (has at least 17 hits)

David Guetta (same also)

Jennifer Lopez

Shakira (an english one)

Maybe, since International Superhits! was basically just a singles compilation of albums 3-6 they could fit a load more stuff on. Either a two disc set starting from 39/Smooth or a one-disc with hidden gems like "Ha Ha You're Dead" and "King For A Day" to sit alongside "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" et al.

Linkin Park could do with one as well - four albums of stuff, plus "New Divide" and that's assuming they don't include anything from "Reanimation" or "Collision Course".

Maybe she could release a double album, Rob + Bin. :P
WHERE'S THE MOOPY GRIN WHEN YOU NEED IT!?? HA!
These are the greatest hits i look forward to:

Liberty X (A 'Definitive Collection' would suffice as they've split)

Muse

Metallica

Razorlight

Black Eyed Peas

Jay-Z (Would of loved an additional CD with his biggest collaborations)

Snoop Dogg

Christina Milian

Beyonce

Jay-Z released one last year, with a lot of his biggest collaborations ("'03 Bonnie and Clyde", "Empire State of Mind" etc.) all on there. It's a really good set to get into his stuff actually.

Goldfrapp.

Personally I think 3-4 albums is too soon for a GH, unless the band's split or the artist's stopped recording. That said, Beyonce would probably be a good one. Whereas Rihanna's certainly got the material to fill a GH, but seems too soon IMO.

Did Westlife ever release a GH volume 2? Not that I'd buy it, but seems like they could reasonably fill another volume with hit singles, unlike most of the GH vol.1s - which are clearly not going to be followed by enough singles to fill vol.2 (I'm thinking Backstreet Boys, etc)

Girls Aloud could do with another one - maybe wait til the reunion tour though, eh?

i think it's too soon for girls aloud to be honest. maybe if they have another album and some side singles under their belt first. they've only had 6 single releases since the GH, the last of which (untouchable) sort of came and went, so i honestly think it would be overkill at this point.

goldfrapp are actually set to release a GH before their next album (supposedly). they are no longer with mute/EMI and have agreed to participate in a best-of release. i'd venture a guess at the fall market for that one. they're currently recording album six, so we'll see what happens

i agree about rihanna - she definitely has enough tracks for an awesome collection (especially with the best of her collaborations included or as bonus material) but she's been releasing at such a rapid rate in a very short span that it does kinda seem too soon regardless

for me a big annoyance is GH collections that came out either too soon, too quickly after a first GH, or were just screwed up by dumb tracklists and overall poor release details. examples of this (sorry if a bit off topic but worthy of relevant discussion):

- christina aguilera : WAY too soon, with some extra material down the line and a better tracklist could have been great

- britney's second singles disc : also, released too soon after her first, with a pointless tracklisting, only one new track, and crappy formats. she should have just tacked "3" onto a re-release of "circus" (or even as a standalone) and waited until after "femme fatale" to update the singles collection. no wonder it sank like a stone.

- depeche mode : most recent set was pretty redundant of their previous 2 and only had one new track. they should have either waited for more material to add, or else made it a more complete set (like a 1CD and 2CD edition or something, not the lame DVD with only some videos)

- U2 : their U218 singles set was kinda lame and not long enough after their 1990-2000 set to provide much fresh perspective

any others to add?

Its out in a couple of months. You can get the deluxe version on the Westlife website at the bargain price of £80!

I really want a GH from

FAITH EVANS

MONICA

USHER

Anastacia? She only had 3 albums before hers and 12 singles and 4 new tracks on the GH. Much too soon. But then again, It's 6 years later and it still represemts her 'greatest' hits :P

Cheryl Cole? :w00t:
Cheryl Cole? :w00t:

GREATEST Hits (5 songs) or BEST of (3 songs)?

I would love a new Emmylou Harris collection, preferably double album

Edited by SKOB

how is that random?

Becuase its to late to release one. It should have been released back in 2006 when they were still semi relevant.
