There were 12 one-weekers in a row in 2000 which I think is the record - if M5 do get to #1 next week I can see 2011 beating that.

I assume it's just the same as the original with a 16-bar rap somewhere in the middle? In which case, I'm not really bothered. It won't sell anything here tbh. Heck, even if it was Jay-Z or Eminem or Kanye West doing the rap it probably wouldn't even go top 100 on iTunes. And it probably wouldn't get played on urban radio, since it's still too poppy for it I think.

 

But then again, even the few sales it gets could make all the difference with whether it gets #1 or not next week (if it's even released here by then).

I remember a cover version of Only Girl spent a few weeks low top 40 on iTunes before its release aswell. I wonder if We Found Love will get higher than that (it's off to a better start so far). Maybe if it gets high enough they'll bring the release date forward (I think they did that with Just the Way You Are).

 

It's #10 on Irish iTunes!!! :o :o The Star Power version, I think there's other versions lower down aswell. Not quite doing that well here. :lol:

 

EDIT: Rihanna filmed the music video in Ireland, so maybe that's why a fake version of it is so high there, since it'll've been in the news and stuff.
