What do you think gooddelta

Top 2 without a shadow of a doubt, there are rumours abound that it's being held back until November 14th though which would put it in the path of Children In Need - Teardrop. Although that's for a BBC cause, surely Gary's involvement can get that collective an X Factor performance. It will be the highest selling top two of the year a la Cheryl/Rihanna last year and I guess she could do the same as she did that time and climb to #1 the week later, Teardrop will be far more front loaded...

I'll predict #1 for it - at some point, perhaps not instantly.

If f***ing WAND ERECTION of all people beat Rihanna, I will literally kick up merry hell.
Have heared there new albums out 21st november, So there new single will be out week before probably! Same as this song, So am sure 1D will get it! I do like this song tho :D

Basically what I was going to post before reading the comments on page 2. This definitely sounds like #1 in the making - quite right that it's most likely to climb to #1 following 'Teardrops'. Don't you just love it when you can correctly predict the UK #1 singles two months in advance. (how very UK charts circa 2000 :kink: ).

I actually like it a lot on first listen - it's catchy and radio friendly enough to do well. Even Calvin Harris has done wonders producing the track. Considering the relatively "meh" 'Bounce' and the 'I Gotta Feeling'-esque, but watered down, rip off that was 'Feel So Close', this is the best Calvin Harris related single imo since the final single released from 'Ready For The Weekend'.

If it really is released on the same week as Teardrop and One Direction's second single then I can see it entering at #3 (although with very high sales a la OG(ITW)) and maybe climbing to #1 at a later date then.

Maybe she'll get an XF performance on her second week again, as I suspect Teardrop (with GBar's involvement) and One Direction will get performances that week, assuming OD do release then of course.

If OD, Gary Barlow/CIN and Rihanna release on the same day, that isn't great -_- OD will win (yes even over CIN - OD's fan base is that big) but Rihanna will have more longevity. I'm not sure about if she can climb to number one the week after especially with EVERYTHING being front loaded at this time of year.

Do people really think they would have Gary Barlow's Children In Need single AND One Direction's second single released in the same week?

UK record companies have realised that they can control the charts - there's no way they'll be released same week. Rihanna will just therefore spend 2 weeks at #2 and probably end up outselling CIN/1D overall. The joys of frontloaded download singles. You'd think downloads were like cd singles and they run out of stock after 6 weeks. -_-

:D

I managed to correctly predict every #1 between Nero and Dappy in order a few days before Nero's release

I voted no.1 for both. Surprisingly I really like this! It could do with out the unneeded Swagger Jagger noises but apart from that I think it's great. Reminds me of dance tracks from the late 90s/early 00s.

The song is good. I was hoping she wouldn't release a club song as the lead single again though, and I'm a bit annoyed that she's premiered it so early now, because Cheers is doing really well, and this is overshadowing it a bit. It would've been better if she waited a month or two.

Honestly don't have a clue where it will chart. Surely top 5 though.

I had high expectations for this and have to say I was quite disappointed. Its boring, bland and not a patch on "only girl". It will probably get to no1 as its the first song from the album but I think it only deserves to go top10.
I have this terrible feeling that it'll peak at #3, like S&M, and just miss the top for weeks in a row. I'd love for it to be #1, though.

Firstly, the cover is strikingly brilliant.

As for the song, I think it's less than the sum of it's parts.

This opinion is very much subject to change.

With the cover being quite different, I thought the single was going to be a new sound but it's not.

It's a great track, i reckon number one. It amazes me how this woman bangs good tracks out one after another. Everything she touches turns to gold.

Considering how massive she is, the rate in which she has gone through eras is unreal. Considering Good Girl Gone Bad was re-released about 4 or 5 times I thought Loud considering it's sucsess has been very similar would get a rerelease. Greatest Hits next year?

she did great with Loud and the singles off it but i believe that will be her peak in the UK. I expect her sales and chartings will be similar to the Rated R album and its respective singles.

'Loud' did amazingly well to get 1.5million without a re-release! 'Good Girl Gone Bad' actually needed the re-release to help it over the 1million mark.
