That made me smile :) 600k? Did you mean 60k? Thats nearer the mark I think. Also think the Mums, Dads and Grandparents market is more likely to go to Joe with his Classic and Classic Christmas albums, Michael Buble has a similar release too. The teenagers and kids will all want 1D and Olly for Xmas as much as much as I don't get it. Not sure where she fits in.
Nobody will be wanting a Christmas album for Christmas. So Michael and Joe's albums won't be "stocking filler" as much as Matt, Olly, Rebecca, Stacey's etc... and Rebecca's album will be perfect for kids to get their parents/grandparents. I dunno why but I'm getting the feeling that Rebecca will do better with her album than people think. She didn't come 2nd last year, for nothing.

There seems a little bit of hype around Rebecca's release. I think (and hope!) she will surprise us and do quite well.

Mmm not sure about that at all and people don't always get what they want for christmas they get what people think they might like. I would say Olly apart Joe and Michael will end up in a lot more stockings :) I don't mind if Rebecca does well just can't see it. Would have to see how Matts album does the next couple of weeks too before judging that.

I hope she does well really like Rebeccas voice. She is releasing at the right time and I think her single debuts on Monday. I doubt she will do worse than Matt who is already down to 12, his credibility is not holding firm.

Because Of You? Appalling? It's not only rated extremely high on Buzzjack, it's rated extremely high in reality too. Definitely generally perceived as one of the best KC songs ever - if not THE best. I have to say, it is refreshing to see Buzzjack highly rate a genuinely amazing song for once.

You haven't heard 'Behind These Hazel Eyes'?

Her best unreleased songs are 'You Found Me', 'Gone' and 'Cry'.

Don't let me stop you was also a great unreleased song :)

Love Behind Those Hazel Eyes best song on that album.

Hasn't Rebecca been in the news this week? Something about record companies offering her £1million to I think pen some songs?
I think if we were in the mid nineties and not 2011 then Rebecca would do alot better. Her voice is like a 90s dance music voice in my opinion. Hope she does well though because she is very talented

She's going to be performing the debut single on X-Factor, we know that much. I'm hopeful it's a dancey number, similar to 'Sweet Dreams' and 'Show Me Love' both of which she nailed on the show.

Reading interviews, the single is co-written by her - alongside Eg White. Will judge it's performance upon listening.

The winner of X-Factor needs to take the same marketing/promotion trick JLS, Olly Murs, One Direction etc. have taken. Releasing a song in the summer where the market is less saturated, and generally quieter (especially if the track has a small summer vibe) and then releasing a single in October/November time with the album. It benefits acts so much. Unlike us, the rest of the UK are not quite up to scratch with the music market so if they have zero promotion and other X factor acts do, then they're quite easily forgotten about. Like you say people are talking about Cher Lloyd and One Direction and not Matt Cardle.

I assume this is down to the contract they're signed to. It does seem with these examples (JLS, Olly Murs, One Direction) that not winning The X Factor can actually be a good thing.

Perhaps Simon Cowell is thinking it worked for Leona in 2007 so if it fails to work in 2010/2011 then those winners aren't good enough. I'd say it's more that the charts are faster paced than they were 4 years ago (especially 3 years ago). If Leona was releasing 'Bleeding Love' in 2011 there's no way it'd spend 7 weeks at no. 1 but Syco are just out of touch with how the industry is changing/progressing.

It's also interesting to note that Matt Cardle came top of the public vote in every live show bar week 1 - he was clearly very popular with the voting public. Yet despite this (I'm sure he's the only contestant ever to constantly top the voting poll each week) his single is probably going to sell around 40k this week. Yet the more hated 'Swagger Jagger' can sell 66k.

Wherever You Will Go

is being used on X-Factor tonight,

Sophie

is singing it! Expect both versions to climb!

XF songs:

Craig: 'Best Thing I Ever Had' (I assume this is an error and it's Beyoncé - Best Thing I Never Had...)

Johnny: Kylie Minogue - Can't Get You Out Of My Head'

Janet: Elvis Presley - (I Can't Help) Falling In Love With You (possibly in UB40 version? IDK, never heard this song)

Rhythmix: Nelly Furtado - I'm Like A Bird

Kitty: Björk - It's Oh So Quiet

Sami: Dolly Parton - I Will Always Love You (obviously in Whitney's atrocious version though)

The Risk: Bruno Mars - Just The Way You Are

Marcus: Rihanna - Russian Roulette (he seems DETERMINED to do songs I hate every week)

Frankie: Coldplay - The Scientist

Nu Vibe: U2 - With Or Without You (someone ALWAYS does this)

Misha B: Charles & Eddie - Would I Lie To You? (I assume it's the C&E song anyway)

Sophie: The Calling - Wherever You Will Go (Charlene version most likely)

I can't see this having a huge effect but Craig (

assuming it is Beyoncé

), The Risk, Frankie, Nu Vibe (

WOWY always reclimbs no matter how many times it gets used on these things

) and Sophie (

both versions

) should send their songs up the chart. Maybe Marcus as well unfortunately :puke:

Hoping for Frankie's to have a big effect

Maybe a second Coldplay classic in the top 40 in a row and third this year after In My Place got there earlier? Although I suppose Fix You isn't safe for top 40 anyway. I can hope...

^ Infact, shouldn't we know the entire set-list by now?

About the voting figures, we don't know them for every year, but Eoghen won nearly every week in the 2008 series, yet he's had less chart success than Alexandra, JLS and Diana, who got 1 week each at the top of the voting iirc.

EDIT: Ignore my first sentance, due to that rather timely post above.

Craig: 'Best Thing I Ever Had' (I assume this is an error and it's Beyoncé - Best Thing I Never Had...)

Maybe it's an error and it's actually the Drake song!!!! :w00t:

that's quite a good point, I also think Cher will do much better with her latest single as she actually sings more on the record and it is much more pleasurable to listen to than Swagger Jagger. She actually came 2nd in Week 4 when she sang a song (Stay) and was less than 1% behind Matt.

If she performs on TXF she could quite easily have a big #1 with this single

Maybe it's an error and it's actually the Drake song!!!! :w00t:

I don't quite see

Craig

pulling that one off

Hopefully Sophie and Marcus smash their songs.

Hopefully

Russian Roulette

gets a major boost in particular. It's one of Rihanna's most underrated songs, regardless of what Bre says. :P

Yay for the randomness of someone performing a

Bjork

song! I hope it gets a good boost.

I bet 1p that Marcus is going to perform 'Chasing Cars' at some point. Gary is giving him all the other songs I hate. :drama:

I don't know who he is. But he could just sing the (censored) chorus 3 times through.
