Ugh, I wish they'd stop shoehorning in pointless raps just because there are some rappers on the show. I suspect the same will happen in all the group performances -_-

 

The Wanted were nothing special, it sounded exactly the same as the studio version and it's a dull song. Moving on.

 

Did the introduction say they have '3 number one smashes'? That's a bit presumptuous. Lightning isn't guaranteed the #1 yet. (Well, it practically is, but anything could happen)

3 million single sales, double platinum album and yes 3 number 1s. Katy's is going to look quite impressive so I guess they needed to look good.

Shocking! but for once I really like a group on the X Factor, and a girl group at that. :o. It's between them, Sophie, Frankie or Sami for my favourite.

3million single sales set off my BS alarm.

My internet is incredibly shaky tonight. Can assume Katy Perry is being apalling live as per usual?

Katy is bloody brilliant live, she was outstanding when I saw her at T in the Park. HOWEVER this new material just pales in comparison to the brilliant first album.

They massively inflated The Wanted's singles sales and they're still less than a twentieth of Katy's worldwide singles sales :lol: It's quite clear which of the two (well, five) is the bigger star :kink:

Is it over yet has she stopped-I hope the rumours on DS for who is bottom two are not correct-there is truly no justice and people are thick.

I'm VERY glad she did something like that, to prove she actually can sing..

Well, she was good vocally (in sharp contrast to her terrible vocals last year) but I'm not hugely keen on the song on first listen.

 

Pretty duddy guests this week then. Hopefully they'll be better next week. Will be very interesting to see Professor Green's performance. He's such a NON-X FACTOR artist.

What on EARTH does it matter? The Wanted are one of the biggest homegrown acts this country has. Unless you're going to pick your live perfs every week exclusively from the superstar pool of Rihanna/Katy/Beyoncé you're going to have bigger stars and smaller stars. NOT A BIG DEAL.

Good performance from Katy. I wasn't expecting much from the sixth single, but that's a good song, and she can sing acoustically.
