Pretty loose theme again this week.

I think Gary's got to step up his game with song choices as they've been pretty miserable so far. It wouldn't be such a bad idea to choose songs that aren't so new!

Frankie to leave this week PLEASE. Or Johnny.
I hope a favourite ends up in the bottom 2 with Frankie. If Janet or Misha got there, he'd have to go.

I can't see Frankie being in the bottom two this week - I'm sure he'll benefit from this 'rebound' thingy. IF he were - I think he'd be voted off - no matter who he was up against.

TBH I'm feeling a bit bad for Frankie. The poor guy just knows he's out of his depth and he himself knows he can't sing to save his life. On Saturday night - I think Frankie himself was more embarrassed - after being told of his shortcomings by Louis, Tulisa and Kelly (he was nodding - acknowledging their comments) - only for Gary to wade in with 'back in the real world ....' we have a new Pavarotti. If there is one thing that Frankie has in his favour (for me) its his total honesty that he isn't in the show for the love of music - but just for fame and girls.

He still should go though!

100%. I'll be very impressed if both are the bottom 2.

It's hard to predict, for the first time in X-Factor history (exaggeration here), the public actually got it right on Sunday night. It's a completely new show, so who knows.

They'll probably make a big thing of it on Frankie's VT to get the sympathy voters out in force.

I seriously don't know what I was on, on Saturday night.

I rated Kitty as the 9th best of the night - and I rated Sophie as the 2nd best of the night. Since then, I've realised Kitty's performance was superb - and Sophie's wasn't actually as good as I first thought.

I was completely the same, loved Sophie's at first but her vocals are off and thought Kitty was far too OTT but it kind of makes her.

Some song suggestions from moi:

Misha - Bittersweet by Fantasia or Heard It Through The Grapevine by Marvin Gaye

Sophie - No One by Alicia Keys

Marcus - Superstition by Stevie Wonder

Johnny - I'm Coming Out by Diana Ross (:D) - though he's obviously firmly already out!

Kitty - Think by Aretha Franklin

Rhythmix - Stop In The Name Of Love by The Supremes (modern arrangement)

I'm taking the theme as being a song that fits the genre of either R&B or Motown, thus a song like Bittersweet could be included as well as Stop In The Name Of Love and other Motown classics.

Oh yes Misha will own this week yet again. BOOM!

lol It would be a perfect song choice for him.

I hope Louis is reading this topic because that man doesn't have a good imagination like you do. ^_^

I hope it is strictly Motown and Misha does You're all I Need to Get By or Signed, Sealed, Delivered. Marcus could tackle Whats Going On or Lets Get it On and Sophie needs an uptempo You Just Keep Me Hanging on maybe.Janet will probably do Ben. Hopefuly not another novelty song for Johnny knowing Louis he will sing Arethas Natural Woman in drag.

Maybe Frankie could sing Diana Ross's Up The Ladder To The Roof ... and then hopefully throw himself off it!

Who said it would be Motown now apparently Mark Jefferies who is Mirror's Deputy TV Editor tweeted:

This weekend's X Factor theme is 'Heroes'

Another anything goes week to assist the weak vocalists-yes you Frankie.

I think it is Motown - I've seen it mentioned in many places.

If it were Heroes - its just another cop-out theme for someone to sing something by their (or their mentor's) favourite artist. The themes should be quite strict so that vocals are challenged.

WTF am I saying? Since when were vocal quality and XF ever, in any way related?

Kath

Edit - looks like you were right - it is the 'sing anything thats easiest for you to sing' theme - AKA 'Heroes'.

Bruno Mars - Kelly Clarkson and Professor Green confirmed for this week show ! :o

I wonder if Bruno Mars will comment Kelly's performance of "Just the way you are" Only kidding, it's not a bad song.

Interesting to see what the contestants are going to sing this week! :o
