The reason, I believe, artists like Cher Lloyd get this kind of hate is because they're manufactured by the show. Then again, for example, another x factor 'loser' Olly Murs has established himself pretty well. I think she made the wrong decision with releasing 'Swagger Jagger', awful song IMO simply because of the low lyrical value and the similarity to the christmas carol 'Little Donkey'.

I remember a few times when I've hated a song, I've come and ranted on here and compared them to nursery rhymes (not usually being 100% serious obviously, more just annoying and overly dramatic, and thinking I'm funny but really I'm not :lol:), but it's funny that it's actually happened now, for real! :lol: Worst thing is, I don't even particularly hate the song. :lol:

I have family who live near where she comes from, and she is not a pleasent girl in real life even before X-Factor. She has got a reputation.

Obviously she's changed her ways since she's been on the X Factor. You can't say that about her when you don't know her.

Why is Birdy doing so poorly? I very much prefer it to her previous two singles (although her 'Skinny Love' is actually alright - prefer Sophie Habibis' version though). Hopefully it'll go top forty, but at the very least it must outpeak the boring 'Shelter'.

There are at least 50 versions of the song on iTunes, so I think the biggest problem would be getting everyone to download the same version. :lol:

On a Biology field trip, we met people from The Chase School, which Cher belonged to prior to the X-Factor. They claimed she was extremely difficult to get along with and came across as really rude - although I get no such feelings from listening to her interviews. Much like Misha B, how someone acts 'off stage' (or 'off camera') shouldn't affect their music and whether it's good or not.

 

'With Ur Love' in the T5 already is a great achievement - the X-Factor performance will no doubt push it up another place or two - I envision is debuting at either #1 or #2 come Sunday - unless it tumbles during the week. As for Scherzinger, I think T20/30 is a likely peak. I'd be shocked if it managed T10. Birdy is the only other song I'd like to see in the T40 come Sunday - R1 have offerred it so much support and cover versions like this really help recognition of the original - I'm sure a lot of people only heard of Bon Iver on the back of her 'Skinny Love' cover.

So, Danza Kuduro (Throw Your Hands Up) is the second highest new entry so far :o
