And so we continue with week 4.

This week it's a Halloween theme, which really is no theme at all. Should be entertaining to see what the judges think pass for Halloween songs....

Aw, was just about to post a load in the other topic. I'll just post it here, so if anyone's interested, they can read my quick thoughts on week 3.

Woah, reading that all through... :D

I was surprised that Sami and Kitty made up the bottom two. I wasn't too fussed about either of them, but Kitty did do a great performance on Saturday night, so that was a bad decision by the public. :(

Sami was getting rather samy, so no HUGE loss, but she was trying her best to get out of the karaoke this weekend, she just couldn't.

I was so pleased that Rhythmix and Sophie made it through, though. Sophie gave my favourite performance on Saturday, and while Rhythmix gave an average performance, with I'm Like A Bird, they are capable of so much more than Tik Tok. And for the record, I could see where Tulisa was coming from on Saturday, she had put a rock arrangement into the performance and was just changing the genre to suit her.

As for the guest performances, great from Kelly C and Pro Green/Emeli. Bruno was so much of a car crash, though, it was embarassing. Could hardly hear him, and he dragged the whole thing out far longer than he should have.

No internet over the weekend, sorry.

Anyway, onto week 4.

I would love it if we had some proper Halloween songs this week. Well, songs that are about monsters/hell/dark stuff at least. As opposed to Relight My Fire and Bleeding Love.

Wouldn't be surprised if we had something like that.

Last year was an awful excuse for trying to pass as a theme, Bleeding Love really? Someone should sing Lady Gaga - Monster :kink:

But Janet HAS to do Zombie by The Cranberries. Or I'll cut someone.

I love how the public booed when Frankie was saved and how they went BERSERK about Johnny getting through.

#late

RE: Eyes, I don't see how Bruno Mars was awful? His mic wasn't turned up very high, but he was the only one being mentioned on my Facebook/Twitter feed, and he's the one all of the media are talking about the most.

So Monster Mash, Beautiful Monster, The Time Warp (please please Louis let Johnny do this), Creep, Thriller etc. - could be ok, could be car crash.

Johnny won't be doing that, Louis said on Xtra Factor than Johnny is doing a stripped down big romantic ballad this week to show he can sing; what do you bet its Bleeding Love or something

Johnny will do something from Phantom of the Opera. Louis will ensure that both Kitty and Johnny go back to novelty show status just to keep them in. Tulisa will ignore the theme and pick what ever is currently doing well in the charts. I hope Marcus does Thriller with the dance routine, Sophie gets Bring me to Life and Misha I can only dream that she does Black Magic woman.
I can see Sophie or Misha doing 'Back to Black' - although I'd love to hear Sophie doing 'Wicked Game', as long as it was as excellent as Rebecca's performance of it last year.
Misha doing Back to Black would be amazing I wonder if Sophie could do My Immortal. Knowing Gary he would give Back to Black to Craig.
Hopefully Back to Black will be performed. Even if just to see Amy back in the charts.
Hopefully someone does Alice Cooper's 'Poison'! I would like to see Rhythmix try that and turn it into an acoustic sort of song (wishful thinking, I KNOW!) but it'll really test them as a girl band and will make up for Tulisa's awful "rock" decisions this week. What's the betting, after Cher's rather successful performance last year, someone does 'Stay'? :nocheer: Probably Misha :puke:

I want Johnny to do 'Sweet Transvestite'!

I could hardly hear him. That was the main problem, but there was also the extra things he did in the performance which reeked of desperation. It felt like he knew his mic was crap and was searching for things to do to keep people entertained. Like all the dancing and the megaphone. I wanted it to be over by the second chorus, but it kept on going and going.

It's one of my favourite songs on the album also, and I didn't feel it was a good performance of the song.

I thought it was the mic being bad at first, but I've watched it back, and the mic isn't great, but acceptable. The performance still bores me.

I would so love for Johnny to do "Stay".

I bet Tulisa chooses Last Christmas but adds the odd vampire laugh, yanno, to make it Halloween-y.
Maybe Janet would be good at Stay?

She would, but she can't have ANOTHER ballad, we need to get her moving! I don't want anyone to do Stay, because they wouldn't be anywhere near as good as Cher's performance. It's safe to say Misha won't do it, she had 'her Stay' with Purple Rain.

EDIT: Pretty much unrelated but apparently Janet reads DS forums

LMFAO!

Misha really didn't have her 'Stay' with 'Purple Rain'. It was so flat. Honestly :( But maybe I'm just being harsh on her as I don't like her anyway and I'm forever comparing it to Ruth Lorenzo's performance of it haha.

I just this on DS, so here's some song suggestions again (feel free to shoot me down for them :P):

Janet - Zombie by The Cranberries

Sophie - Bring Me To Life by Evanescence

Misha - I Put A Spell On You by Nina Simone

Craig - I really can't think of anything... Maybe Bleeding Love but that would be too cliche plus I don't want him caterwauling all over it...

Marcus - Superstition by Stevie Wonder

Frankie - Poison by Alice Cooper

Johnny - Sweet Transvestite from Rocky Horror (I'm fed of him being a joke but I can't think of anything serious so there you go...)

Kitty - Thriller by Michael Jackson

Rhythmix - Witches' Brew by Katy B

The Risk - Beautiful Monster by Ne-Yo

Though I agree Tulisa will just choose a song that's as far from Halloween as possible like Tweenies - Number 1 or something.

Tulisa will probably choose any old song and then point at the black capes and cobwebs on stage when she gets called out on it.

"There's cobwebs on the stage so it must be halloween"

Is it too much to ask for her to stick to the theme this week?
