I think One Direction were slightly more about 80k?

Labrinth must be a little annoyed, he's almost certainly going to have a total that would be number 1 most weeks and he didn't have the X Factor to boost him. (Surprising given he's SYCO) When I first heard Read All About It, I thought it would be a big hit but not this huge, never thought that would get an X Factor slot.

Absolutely, he's going to get close to (if not beat) "Grenade"'s first week total so would have been #1 all but one/two other weeks. Could début with higher sales than DJ Fresh :o

One Direction had 82,785 in the first mids, their B-Side was showing up at #3 as well so it may have actually been higher (although it's possible that when B-Sides show up they're duplicate sales rather than 'missing' sales so maybe not).

I don't think he'll quite beat DJ Fresh's total, but I definitely think it'll have high enough sales to have been #1 any week this year so far apart from the first weeks of Grenade, Louder and What Makes You Beautiful.

(For that it'd need sales of 133,180+ (more than JLo), so a multiplier of just under x2.5 from Tuesday to Sunday, which I think is roughly the average - it'd need a multiplier of just over x2.6 to beat Fresh, x2.77 to beat Bruno and x2.85 to beat OD)

FTR Pro Green needs a multiplier of just under x2.3 to beat OD so I think he should do it fairly easily.

Actually, I might be completely wrong about what the average multiplier is. Can someone more knowledgeable about this confirm what it is? I seem to remember reading x2.5 somewhere.
finally adele is falling now there is proper competition
yeh I was right with Michael Buble!! :cheer:

All be it a little early for Christmas!!

I predict he'll be the No.1 album at Christmas, after hs XF live appearance, and sell a million this year, more than Coldplay!

Think that's a bit optimistic, though I'm sure he'll sell well.

Ronan Parke....we all know Simon is using him. Must be a few people on a special register that have bought that album.

Yeah maybe being a bit optimistic there but he'll have some good sales weeks in December. ;)

excellent news on all counts :D incredible sales for Pro Green, Hopefully at least over 120k by the end of the week, could see a 100k seller for Labrinth too! have we had one this year out of interest?

great to see the Coldplay versions combined, hopefully it can make the top 10 although I am slightly doubtful, 95k is excellent first day sales although I think 300k looks impossible now, still, hopefully above 250k

You mean two songs selling over 100,000 in the same week? I don't think we have! :o Although we've had some weeks with the top 2 selling over 90,000 (e.g. the week Champion by Chipmunk was released). It's funny, because it was around this time last year we had Promise This/Only Girl released, which both did the same.

I can't believe Pro Green has sold so well. Its an awful song. Must be the X Factor appearance which has hyped up its sales.

It would still probably have over 50k today even without XF, because it was pretty close to Labrinth before the performance.

No, last seen W/E 25.12.10!

It's the exact same week, actually! :P

Great sales for coldplay i hope they continue to sell strongly, im not surprised MichaeL Buble is doing so well, his cjristmas album is the first christmas album i can remember doing well, mariah carey etc didnt do near aswell with their albums.

Im glad matt cardle hasnt plummeted in the album chart, i hope it can remain steady and sell steadily, also happy to see Steps stay top 10 among so many new releases. Im shocked at darren hayes been so high although i think he will drop throughout the week but i honestly thought it wouldnt even get top 40.

Wasn't there a week where What's My Name sold over 100,000 at #2 when When We Collide was #1?

Yes, that's the week Gezza mentioned.
