I agree about Craig as much as I like his vocals, he's now taking the contest far too seriously (which I suppose is understanable) but he was more natural and funny in his audition - and still pulled off a decent vocal performance. If he wins, he'll follow in the footsteps of Gareth Gates/Leon Jackson/Joe McElderry to the point where he has no control over his career. We need more Will Young and Leona Lewis' to make the grade.

Marcus, on the other hand, does show more personality now on Xtra Factor than he did in his first audition. Of the two, my gut feeling is that Craig is the most likely to make the live final.

I agree with Kath, it wouldn't surprise me at all if Frankie somehow manages to survive this week. I still have this gut feeling the producers are desperate to get him onto the live tour next year which really makes me question "why?!!!". Do any of you know anybody who actually likes Frankie, because I don't? Frankie is this years Katie (she couldn't sing for toffee but iirc miraculousy made it onto the live tour).

It's really nothing to do with the singing. Frankie has a bit of a following with screaming teenage girls, who are very loyal and spend a lot of money on music/related goods. So that's why they're keeping him in. Then again I really can't see him pulling off dance tonight. I have a life don't watch the Xtra Factor but I do agree that in general Marcus comes over as more fun or whatever than Craig, but Craig has an AMAZING voice. Marcus' is decent but nothing we haven't heard a million times before. Craig's is pretty much unique.

Do we have a full songlist for tonight yet btw?

Tom, the songlist is out at about 7pm(ish) usually, so we have a bit of a wait :P

No so sure. I think maybe the Wagner minded voters may be keeping the joke act in. Can you imagine Gary's face though - if Craig and Marcus were bottom two - and his sole hope of finding a universal superstar was Frankie? The idea to me is very, very appealing!

Kath

This totally. Gary is getting FAR too cocky in the fact even Kelly has lost an act (and the girls are meant to be the big catergory no-one can beat), it'd be amazing for him to lose one/two acts. Craig and Marcus are safe as houses though, and I wouldn't be shocked if Frankie got through and dispatched Little Mix/Johnny/Misha :( I actually prefer Frankie to Craig (and The Risk for that matter) though.

Also some news/bullshit surfaced today:

- Each judge will mentor a different catergory. - bullshit ofc.

- JLS/One Direction are on the charity single as well.

As it's never going to happen, I'm rooting for a Little Mix win. They are the only act I'd like to see getting it now. I hope they can survive this weekend. Craig I like, but I don't want him to win, would be too boring, I would rather Janet didn't win, The Risk, Kitty and Misha won't do it, and I don't particularly mind either (although Kitty and Misha are amazing) and Marcus is on and off for me.

Ok, I just don't want yet another male winner, and it would be AWESOME if they made it.

The first one: ... When they start making it about the judges, not the acts... *grumble* I'm holding onto the fact it's likely bullshit

The second one:  Maybe it'll be slightly less crap if it happens, there'll be some experienced acts on there.

Love to see Johnny perform a Village People club camp classic tonight, maybe Go West or YMCA :D

Someone on DS forums said Play.com have listed:

Like A Prayer (Madonna)

Heaven (DJ Sammy)

I Gotta Feeling (Black Eyed Peas)

Don't Stop The Music (Rihanna)

as songs for tonight.

I'm thinking

Heaven for Janet, I Gotta Feeling for The Risk and Don't Stop The Music for Little Mix or Marcus.

"I Gotta Feeling" a club classic?? It was out just 2 years ago! Club classics are the likes of N-Trance, 2 Unlimited, Culture Beat, Haddaway, The Shamen, Black Box, The Real McCoy, Strike and Snap!

Just thought of one that could be good for Janet:

Olive - You're Not Alone

Isn't it one of the highest selling downloads ever? and it was played EVERYWHERE. It feels like a classic even if it isn't actually that old

It feels like a classic even if it isn't actually that old

I suppose. It just bugs me when "classic" is used to describe songs that are less than 4/5 years old.

Last week we had Only Girl classed as a club classic, so don't expect anything different :P

Heaven for Janet

would be amazing!

By the way, is there anyone on here that doesn't actually want to know the songs before the show?

Just realised it's week 5 :o Will the legendary 'week 5 shock' take effect again?! I hope not, I can't lose Misha or Janet :/ I reckon it'll be Kitty and Little Mix, I've got a feeling Frankie is safe, the bookies seem certain though... William Hill have odds for which combos are likely, Frankie and Kitty is most likely (6/4) followed by Frankie and Misha, Frankie and Little Mix and Frankie and Johnny (all 8/1).

The first one: ... When they start making it about the judges, not the acts... *grumble* I'm holding onto the fact it's likely bullshit

As if that hasn't already happened :P

I don't get the first thing? Do they not already do that? CONFUSED.

As for the second thing... :drama: JLS just #1-whoring there, including Hero and Everybody Hurts that could well be a 9th #1 for them.

It means they'll swap catergories round, so for example it may end up with Tulisa having the girls, Gary having the groups, Kelly having the overs and Louis having the boys.

Changing the judges and the acts would be absolutely bizarre  Must be a rumour, would be such a stupid decision!

Heaven

would be amazing for Janet, that could be her best performance yet, which is needed as i can see the hype slowly fading for her week by week..

Week 5 is usually the 'shock' week, but not always by who's eliminated.

Treyc left last year, which wasn't a shock as such - but it was the week Katie forgot her lyrics in the sing-off but still made it through, so I suppose Week 5 is more 'controversial decision' week

I doubt Marcus will sing a Rihanna's song again.

I literally only care about Johnny and Kitty now so therefore I expect to see both bottom 2.

Oh! :drama: I'm so stupid.

Yes there is and spoilers must be used accordingly or you will receive an increase in your warning level.
