Although MLJ wasnt officially an OA/OS release it acted in such a way because it was only played on radio 2 and was released within a matter of weeks of uk radio airplay.....because of all the held back flop releases especially from boybands like JLS and One Direction not making no1 surely recrod companies will learn to at least be smarter with releases?!

Flo Rida does have some catchy songs, but I agree. He's just rapping over pop songs, so he shouldn't be associated with hip hop. At least, not with his current material.

anyway, WMYB was actually a good boyband song, GBY is a boring, typical ballad that will be out of the top 40 in a few weeks, so I'm glad its not number 1

Get a move on, this interview is so boring. Glad 'Gotta Be You' only peaked at #3, its by far the worst song on the album, which apart from this song is actually of extremely good standard.

This sounds like a Lady Gaga tune, instead of sound-alike song. it should have been released 2nd after "Born This Way"

I agree, but the album is actually rather great, full of catchy pop songs, shame they released this shite. I actually think I slightly prefer Up All Night to Talk That Talk, and I am a Rihanna lover and not really a massive 1D fan. I think RiRi will win the album battle next week by a good bit though.

It still is being done though? :wacko: Some of the biggest hits of this year have been OA/OS releases such as Pitbull/lmfao/Maroon 5 and the current no1 Rihanna and Calvin Harris whereas some of the biggest non no1s of the year have shown how stupid record companies are to give 8 weeks promo for a new single like Cher Lloyd/jls/nero etc!
