I agree, but the album is actually rather great, full of catchy pop songs, shame they released this shite. I actually think I slightly prefer Up All Night to Talk That Talk, and I am a Rihanna lover and not really a massive 1D fan. I think RiRi will win the album battle next week by a good bit though.

I have no doubt the album will do well for them and I'm not against boybands persee but I just don't understand the success of this one. They just look so awkward when they perform and have nothing about them, as much as I have gone off JLS musically ( i loved them on XF) they have a certain swagger and charisma which I can understand young girls liking.

How can you commit a crime against something that is already criminal? ;)

I am too happy to curse you out but Eric B and Rakim, Kanye, Nas, Jay-Z, Missy Elliot, Nicky, Lauryn Hill are right up there with the best musicians. ;)

The first solo Flo-Rida song?!

The last Virgin Hit Singles book has

"Right Round"

"Be On You"

"Suga"

as Flo-Rida solo releases, and since then I have "Turn Around (5 4 3 2 1) as a Flo-Rida solo as well.

NU UMBRELLA? Only five weeks to go :P

Her success continues to astound me, definitely the biggest pop star in the world right now in my opinion, hit after hit after hit, and they all sell in huge volume, singles and albums.

Right Round had Ke$ha on it though.

it just looked a bit bear without any brackets after the song!

#1 of the year - there's no stopping 'We Found Love'. I pray to God that she does perform it - a sixth week at #1 would beat Adele's 5 week-record for the year. Shame One Direction had to settle for #3 in the end, I much prefer 'Gotta Be You' to 'What Makes You Beautiful' - I guess we can truly judge their success on the third single; JLS went 01-01-06, so let's see if One Direction will get a third T10 without the help of X-Factor.

As for Flo Rida at #2 - it's infectious and came pretty much out of nowhere (I'd certainly never heard it before this week), a #2 debut represents how quickly a song can become popular.

I was thinking that too. Although there is: "2010 41 Turn Around (5,4,3,2,1)", but I thought it was a collab at first because of the brackets.

He does have lots of solo songs though. Like album tracks and such.

I also remembered Turn Around. I'd say Turn Around is the only solo Flo Rida single really, as Good Feeling has the sample used in the chorus which sounds as if there is somebody else in the song.

For the record I much prefer Avicii's use of that sample than Flo Rida. Will be interesting next week I think.

With Les 54321? That would have been cool

The Cher Lloyd and Nero tracks would never have made number one without the lenghty promo. How is that "Stupid"?

But they only spent less than 6 weeks in the entire top 40 - they could have sold much more with an OA/OS release!

If she is #1 next week then she will beat Adele to the longest running #1 of the year (and decade so far!).

Not for them, obviously, but it makes a mockery of the charts in this country that such weak tracks can make no.1 and the expense of much stronger ones.

Hardly - they are simply bigger in one week than others. This has been going on for years - and gives us quite a diverse chart.

To be honest, I don't really remember Turn Around. All I remember the song for was because of the controversy over its music video and it being banned from MTV.

I'll repeat this in case no-one read it, but there was less than 1% difference in sales between Michael Buble and JLS in the album chart this week.

True but it had been 11 years since we'd had such volume of no.1s that sold poorly overall. I thought those days were behind us.

I dismissed it off one listen but then it was used in the credits for "The Hangover Part II" (obvious choice since "Right Round" fitted the first film so well) and I warmed to it.

that is close

where did you read this?

Right Round had Ke$ha on it though.

But was she credited? Or was it like Dido on "Stan"?
