Woah Wizzard and Wham top 40 suddenly. Where did they shoot from

Well they were both in the 50s in the official chart this week, so they haven't come from nowhere.

I know that. My point was that they've been hovering round the top 50 for the last few days, yesterday were both top 60 so that explains it... the 59p effect of course

She's far from ugly, but she is a very plain and average looking girl who got a good stylist.

Oh really? I am not going to respond again after this post because it's completely off topic but... http://content.usatoday.com/communities/on...cial-features/1

From her eyes to the distance between her mouth and her nose, the dimples and cheeks... she has the perfect face, another thing is if people feel more attracted to faces that aren't that perfect and have bigger lips, or bigger cheeks or whatever, it's like the sculptures from the ancient greeks, very similar proportions to the ones Shania Twain or Cheryl have.

Coldplay now down to 11 combined... we need Kelly's song to die FASTER now it's out of the top 10! grrr.
Apparently Olly is hot on the heels of the X Factor single so I'm looking for a drop off from X Factor on this chart that's similar to last week. Hopefully Olly does it.

WTF. Mariah now has 2 versions top 40 and both are higher than the respective versions of Fairytale Of New York. That'll be her ahead this week then :( Hopefully The Pogues should be heading for top 20 anyway...

Hopefully though these 59p reductions will mean we have a few more Christmas songs top 40 anyway, Wizzard, Wham! and Slade could all make it by the looks of things (urgh at Wham! but yay at the other two, especially Slade :D)

Why does every Christmas song EXCEPT Fairytale Of New York get a price cut?

T-Pain up to #5 :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: Now ahead of Lloyd's top version (he's at 8 and 22 - I really thought he'd get a much bigger effect from being top 10 :o) Hopefully '5 O'Clock' will still go top 5.

Ooh, Paradise 59p now? Hopefully it will climb again then and hang onto the top 10 this week :D

The Wanted realy are doing badly with Warzone... 5 candidatyes for Reality TV next year then :D

It's the worst single they've released by far, imo. Not very radio friendly, not very catchy and very dreary compared to Lightning and Glad You Came.

Maybe they are waiting for Xmas week for that - trying to get it top 10?

Wishful thinking :(

I shall do another Christmas update in a bit (and I'll actually do it this time :kink: I know I never did the last time I said I would).

That's interesting. It might explain why a lot of people find Cheryl, etc. attractive. I read a similar article about the Mona Lisa once (I don't know why I was reading this ), that was saying something similar to that, about the ratios and distances between different facial features in the painting, and how they're mathematically significant, or something like that (I think it was the golden ratio).

T-Pain up to #4! This is more like it. I was expecting him to go top 10, so I was very puzzled on Sunday to see so few people buying the song. I still wonder why it took so long to take off though.

I still wonder why it took so long to take off though.

Like I kept saying :P I really think the fact it was so hard to actually find was a big factor in its slow start. It started rapidly climbing as soon as it started actually coming up when you search for 't-pain 5 o'clock' and that can't be a coincidence.

In other news, Lloyd back up to #7 overtaking Rihanna (he was at #9 earlier behind Coldplay - that's the second time he's done that, appearing to be falling before climbing again, very odd).

 61. Roman In Moscow - Nicki Minaj

 71. Lonely Boy - The Black Keys (I wonder why this is doing so well? Previous singles by them with identical support have flopped completely)

 79. Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow? (2011) - Amy Winehouse

 93. Christmas Lights - Coldplay :D Have we finally got a new (admittedly minor) addition to the 'Christmas classic' list?

Yeah, I do remember you mentioning that now.

I wonder how high it'll get on iTunes. Maybe #2, since it's already not far off, and I imagine Olly and Jessie J will be falling a little bit too. I can see Flo Rida getting to #1 before long, since, similar to Moves Like Jagger, I think its sales will stay relatively stable in comparison to other held back releases, due to lack of promotion beforehand.

Edited by Eric_Blob

I wouldn't be surprised if T-Pain got to #1 before Flo Rida, Flo seems to be gaining very slowly on Olly. (Either way I can't see Olly holding on for much longer, but then again I said that shortly after he got back to #1 in the first place and it's been like 6 days since that).

Olly's album version seems to have had a bit of a plummet, down to #57 now.

If Flo Rida does get back to #1 on iTunes then he'll be #1 on iTunes but not even top 5 on the mids, since Olly, Jessie, Lloyd and even Rihanna are ahead combined and XFF have physicals which put them ahead too  Although I wouldn't be surprised if he re-overtakes Rihanna before the end of the week. I think she could end up #7 this week with T-Pain also overtaking.

Probably because "Tighten Up" was such a slow burner. It's a bit similar to Vampire Weekend on a lesser scale - they did well to get any singles from their début top 40, even the ubiquitous "A-Punk" because they took a while to really take off, but then as soon as "Contra" was released "Cousins" jumped to about #20 on iTunes and top 40 officially.

Ugh, 5 O'Clock in the top 5 :( Definitely one of the worst songs I've heard all year, all that voice effect is just unbearable :puke2:

Nice to see Christmas Lights back in the Top 100 though
