What a shame it's behind that Mariah tripe this week and probably will be at Christmas this time.
December 11, 201114 yr I'm not anti-Gaga. I like Chillin', Video Phone and the instrumental to Love Game. SOMETIMES it's not always a good idea to write down the FIRST thing that comes into your mind. Example 1.
December 11, 201114 yr Back in 1973, Wizzard charted a week before Slade: Wizzard: 19-6-4-4-4-4-16-22- Slade: - 1-1-1-1-1-3-12-22-40- Strange that xmas songs didnt fall from the top 10 out of the top 40 back then like most songs do now!
December 11, 201114 yr (33) Slade-Merry Xmas Everybody Too bad this tune never gets played here. Great guilty pleasure
December 11, 201114 yr Well, I hate 95% of her songs, but I would theoretically be a fan of hers if she released more songs that I liked. I'm open to liking her, but obviously it gets annoying when the most popular artist in the world released 7 songs in a row, all of wihch you hate, if you get what I mean. About Akon, I like most of his songs, and he's really popular with most people. Songs like Smack That and I Wanna Love You were MASSIVE for a REASON. Mad that Moves Like Jagger almost had as long as I Gotta Feeling in the top 10! :o I get what you mean. Bruno Mars is like this for me, he's done great songs like 'Billionaire' 'Nothin On You' and 'Lighters' but the majority of his other songs are all terrible :puke: I do also like Akon, not as much as you but 'Lonely' 'Sexy Chick' 'Smack That' 'I Wanna Love You' and 'Locked Up' are all good songs  Edited December 11, 201114 yr by danielXF
December 11, 201114 yr Hope Mariah gets Top 10/Top 5 this year just so the people who prefer this have a huge hissy fit! :D
December 11, 201114 yr I played FONY to a group of Americans when I was there last year, who had never heard the song before (it never took off in America). As you can imagine, much awkwardness ensued when it got to THAT line.
December 11, 201114 yr Akon is NOT an artist of a generation at all. Eminem would be. They both are imo. Along with Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Beyonce, etc. Akon wasn't as big as Eminem, but at the same time, there weren't many people bigger than Akon.
December 11, 201114 yr Author Well, I hate 95% of her songs, but I would theoretically be a fan of hers if she released more songs that I liked. Mad that Moves Like Jagger almost had as long as I Gotta Feeling in the top 10! :o They weren't that massive given the sales climate. They were successful, not massive. 'Most people' is not true either, just perhaps the people you know. Eric is getting the 'talking out his rear end' award this week
December 11, 201114 yr Author They both are imo. Along with Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Beyonce, etc. Akon wasn't as big as Eminem, but at the same time, there weren't many people bigger than Akon. A generation is 25 years (ish) so no, Akon is nowhere near.

December 11, 201114 yr (34) Band Aid-Do They Know It's Christmas first time in a while this tune as made the top 40 and one of the best xmas of all time. What songs are regarded as xmas classics in the us?
December 11, 201114 yr This is a bit of a non-starter. It sounds promising at first but then fails to grow.
December 11, 201114 yr Still adore 'Take Care', so chilled out and Rihanna sounds amazing on it. I really love 'Make Me Proud' from the same album, I hope that gets released as a proper single at some point. I reckon this'll have a similar chart run to 'Who's That Chick' too.
December 11, 201114 yr This is really boring, and disappointing. I don't generally find Drake very interesting. :(
December 11, 201114 yr In the past, rappers used to turn to old funk tracks for musical backing. Now, they head to the Hype Machine. I know which option's better for hipsters.
December 11, 201114 yr I think Eric is winding us up. Anyone who likes those three songs needs an ear check. FONY!!!  Okay, Drake is on. We know what his music is for. :) Let's all RELAX and just CHILL. I've had this discussion like 100 times on here, so I'll stop now. There's no point. You can all happily live in your little world where everybody hates Akon but thinks Just Dance is amazing. I'd like if Drake and Rihanna released a song together every year.
