surprised by the Wives dropping so quickly. I didn't really consider it a one week fad. Excellent news though
Olly Murs could have HSAB back in the top 20 this week. :o Jeeeeez. And DWMT looks like it could still be top five. Lego House could get a new peak. :o

Lovely to see my sexy bum husband back top 20 with one of the best songs of the year

YES for MWC falling so fast, although it may be a close battle still if they sell tons of physicals again!

Fly, Man Down and Cheers BEG TO DIFFER. :P

And California King Bed only got a week top 10 because it was used in that advert, and I doubt You Da One would've gone top 10 without being 59p.

Wonder what the sales will be like this week? If LMFAO can go top 20 it could be enough to get it the 30k sales it needs to hit a million in 2011 and give us 3 million sellers this year which would be great....i would be gutted if it sold like 20k and just fell short!!

Not at #20, it won't - not even with the iTunes post-Xmas boost. The 30k level is likely to be #15-#16-ish

I'm still holding out for that overrated piece of trash to rapidly get deleted forever and miraculously fail to hit the 1 million mark. It doesn't deserve to be a million seller - but then nor did 'I Gotta Feeling' imo.

And before anyone rants about my use of "deserve", it's my opinion! :P

I wish the same fate on Moves Like Jagger but that's probably already done the <12k it needs to get there this week.

I don't like Party Rock Anthem either, I thought #22 was far too high a peak for it

Party Rock Anthem is very average (and so are Moves Like Jagger and I Gotta Feeling ). I think PRA was so popular because of the shuffle dance, and it did admittedly have probably one of the best music videos I've ever seen, even if the song itself was not that good.

Party Rock Anthem is also the song with the most longevity in the US charts of the century so far. And who said dance music wasn't popular there?

Kudos to it for its chart success though. Unlike certain other pop artists, LMFAO didn't have to come to the UK to perform the song to make it a hit. It didn't even get that much radio airplay.

Best music video? Really? :P

I'd always go with more "emotional" videos in terms of what I'd consider the best - something like Leona's 'Happy' or Kelly Clarkson's 'Because of You'. The former was actually one of the main reasons why I became such a huge fan of Leona again. The other main reason being the song itself. :P

Party Rock Anthem and Moves Like Jagger are amazeballs are deserve the success they got

I think quite a lot of people think the Party Rock Anthem video is amazing. I think because of the dancing in it. And it shows lots of completely different types of people dancing together and having a good time. The perfect type of party, and something that people have tried to emulate because of the video tbh. And there's so many moments in it which just make you laugh. It's very charming. The music video clearly wasn't trying to be iconic or anything either, which I think makes it even better. It just became a bit of a sensation really. Whilst I think some of the videos like the S&M video were made with the intention of "going down in history" or whatever.

I agree that Happy has a good music video too (although I don't like the song). Leona Lewis and Kelly Clarkson usually have very good music vidoes I think. They're usually very original and creative, whilst other artists just do lots of dance routines wearing weird clothes, and with lots of computer effects, and it's just boring tbh.

I don't think Party Rock Anthem is a particularly good song, but it's easy to understand why it's been such a massive hit imo. Although I don't think it's good that songs can be hits because of their music videos. It hurts artists like Adele, and all rock artists a lot.

Agreed about Moves Like Jagger...I'd much rather it was This Love passing the million this week though... :(

This Love is very catchy (especially the chorus), but like with a lot of songs, the amount it was on the radio when it was popular frankly DROVE ME MAD.

I liked Misery a lot from last year. Again, very catchy, and I can't believe it wasn't a bigger hit.

I think Party Rock Anthem is great in the sense its not trying to BE anything great in particular, its just quite a fun song to listen to and would doubtless have very wide appeal (particularly those who frequent clubs :P ) - I predicted it would be like a Nu-I Gotta Feeling in this sense, I wasn't too far off the mark there!

It's madness that Christina Aguilera is about to get a million-seller soon too! :o I've loved her since I was a little child, so it's amazing for this to finally happen. :)

And just quite hilarious since she was known as "Floptina" this time last year. Talk about a comeback!

Christina is apparently premiering her new single next month. I'm excited to hear it, and I think it could be a decent-sized hit. I think Moves Like Jagger will boost Christina's career a bit, kind of like how LTWYL boosted Rihanna's career, except on a lesser-scale (since Rihanna was still fairly popular in the Rated R era, and she did a bigger part in LTWYL than Christina did in MLJ).
