 3. Paradise - Coldplay

 4. Cannonball - Little Mix

:D

Coldplay took their time.

If 'Cannonball' can resist plummeting, It may bounce back to #3 by default when the donkey song starts to fall after Xmas.

FINALLY.

Two top verions of Dominick the Donkey outsell LM by more than 2:1. DtD will have another boost tomorrow, and if LM are going to fall further I can see it being quite close between them come Sunday, with a slight chance of DD overtaking Little Mix officially.

They did indeed, at the rate they were gaining they looked like they could have overtaken nearly a week ago. But at least they've overtaken now.

Cannonball isn't decreasing THAT quickly, so I think it will return to #3 once Lou vanishes. Flo Rida is a fair distance behind (currently around ~83.1% of Little Mix) and Olly's top version is another jump behind (only ~66.8% of Little Mix). It should also remain #2 officially with its physical sales.

Coldplay will sell around 40k this week!

I would hope they'll do a bit more than that - if they even sell 6k per day for the rest of the week they'll be on 46k+.

Just read the mids there - yeah maybe 45-55k, not sure they will be no1 in the first week of Jan now - unless they increase with the gift card effect......and also Home Again is out on Jan 1st which i think could be no1!
I see The Fear, Keep Your Head Up and The Wolves have crept up Itunes since Ben Howard was on Radio One this morning

I think the Donkey has bolted - Little Mix sold 16.4k yesterday and DtD only 13.0k - so Little Mix actually increased the gap by 3.4k to 16.3k.

Little Mix should have #2 in the bag now.

No way, Gotye has it in the bag #iwish

I saw that on itunes its now stating 1st January release, its a bit odd really to take it off itunes only for them put it back on no promo (unless they know its planning to get support in the new year). Seems rather pointless though, I won't be happy if Gotye doesn't get support, especially considering its huge success in Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, Holland and now Germany.

I hope Gotye flops. It's terrible and I really do not see the fuss with it, at all!
I would love for Home Again to be the first number 1 of 2012 - its amazing  I don't think Coldplay will get it now alas unless their gift card sales are very strong :(

I haven't heard that song, or that artist who sings it anywhere outside of Buzzjack - I can't see it get #1 to be honest.

Determinate  689  need to be number 1 :)

I can see January having very poor sales in general.

There is literally nothing that stands out as a smash. There's only Professor Green on 23rd January with his new single and I doubt that will be as big as RAAI.

From my perspective, the next interesting thing to come along is Alexandra Burke's new single 'Elephant' on 26th February and that will probably be pushed back even more.

I would love for Home Again to be the first number 1 of 2012 - its amazing

+1
