yap... but again, not a flop anyway.

its a flop for a boyband like jls though, they deserve it its a terrible rehash of a song!!

wish Home Again would rise..maybe it will as the week goes on and MK is named as no1 in the stars for 2012 by radio 1!!

Alesha is up to #54 on my feed...
Alesha Dixon up to #47....The advert is being heavily played on numerous channels so I can see this hitting top 15 tbh.
That's what would have happened then, if it wasn't on an ad campaign. Adverts aren't a guarantee for success though, The Feeling's Rosé has been given a special revamp for the Burberry ad, and that did nothing! I suspect this'll do similar to Heavy Cross though.

I take this back. It'll do much better than Heavy Cross.

What a jump for Alesha, it's an on air sale thing so I guess it might actually pick up throughout the week with radio stations hopefully playing the single.

Jls are already decreasing :cheer:

Earthquake back in the top 5 thanks to BBC1 New Year coverage :cheer:

Michael Kiwanuka has barely climbed at all since he debuted :(

Glad to see Alesha do well. I know the last era was a disaster for her, but I don't think by any means she is entirely irrelevant and I think that due her being such a popluar TV personality, she could easily come back and have another big hit, with a good song, like she had with 'Breathe Slow' and 'Lets Get Excited'. This new song isn't her best by any means, but is still good enough, so I would like to see it chart next week.
The new Alesha Dixon song is a total disaster, and I'm a huge follower of Alesha. I still kind of want to do it well, as it will give us more chance to get the new proper material.

Maybe Alesha will be 2012 J Lo? :P

Her music is quite poor though. 'The Boy Does Nothing' and 'Breathe Slow' were brilliant for what they were. 'Let's Get Excited' hinted at a turn for generic pop but was still good. 'To Love Again' was just dull - no other description. 'Drummer Boy', though...now that was one f**king mess. Regardless of what people on here think of a certain song, I think Beyonce learnt from Alesha's mistakes regarding military beats.

Come on Michael Kiwanuka! Hoping it's going to be a slow burner rather than a flop. Far too early to write him off.

29. Troublemaker - Taio Cruz

40. Do It Our Way (Play) - Alesha Dixon

VERY surprised how well Alesha is doing.

Maroon 5 / Christina at #5 combined - look forward to seeing this back in the top 10 on Sunday then. With JLS only at #13 combined, I'm hoping that means it won't ever trouble the top 10, it's hard to tell whether it'll climb really, I'd imagine a large portion of the fanbase will have purchased one of the two versions already.
One day into the year and already a contender for 'unlikely comeback hit' arises! More of these throughout the year please

'Earthquake' has another version just outside the top 100 so I suspect Maroon 5 are only #6 combined, not #5 - doesn't make much of a difference though of course. Their top version seems to be keeping its distance from #9 so I'm hopeful that Taio Cruz will knock it back out of the top 10 and it starts falling again. I think a return to the official top 10 is inevitable though. I just hope it doesn't last for more than a week so it doesn't move ahead of LTWYL's top 10 weeks record for the 21st century. (Wouldn't mind We Found Love doing so though).

The rest of the popstars-turned-flopstars of the early to mid noughties should take note of this and try to stage comebacks this year :o
