Possibly have come round to this stripped-back Wherever You Will Go... A bit late, maybe I was blinded by my love for the original, but it's a nice enough cover. Quite surprised to see it back, but I haven't watched any TV recently.

 

Oh... Home Again now. I shall give it a proper listen, but I'm really not confident I'll like it.

He can't have been far off the top 40 during the week then - if Friday/Saturday in the top 20 made him #37 officially. Hopefully it can climb in its second week, a #37 would be an undeserving peak for the sound of 2012 winner + with the airplay its getting from radio 1, there's no excuse.

Foster the People fell a lot on iTunes until their re-surge today, so I think they might've missed it.

 

This is the first time I'm hearing this Michael song (I'll learn how to spell his surname later :lol:). It's quite an interesting song. Everybody said it was really boring, so I was expecting something worse than this.

Who You Are is quite good. I wouldn't normally like a song like this, but I do for some reason. Such a strange chart run too. :lol:

First time hearing Michael Kiwanuka (apologies if that's not spelled right!)

 

Nice to hear a guitar led song in the Top 40, shame it's an acoustic guitar rather than an electric one though.

 

Voice first time sounds like he was in the Lighthouse Family ten or fifteen years ago, technically very good, very clear but not a lot of emotion to it.

Party Rock Anthem is #10 on US iTunes, and was released a year ago there!

 

But did that peak in January last year, or did it do similar to what it did over here?
