January 11, 201214 yr Another big clearout this week. Really pleased for David Guetta, DJ Fresh and Emile all straight to B List this week :o
January 11, 201214 yr straight to B List for Titanium  :D DJ Fresh looking like a future number 1 contender, interesting to see them playlist T.H.E, I think it has potential to be very big Edited January 11, 201214 yr by C.W
January 11, 201214 yr Great to see DJ Fresh, David Guetta and Emeli added! Was hopeful that they'd ignore that trashy Will.i.am song though :( It's going to be huge isn't it?
January 11, 201214 yr Mick Jagger back on the Radio 1 playlist! Three years of being namechecked in huge hits have done his profile no harm. And The Doors too  Obviously pleased for Titanium, was expecting it last week but there was no way they were going to ignore it - the crap Little Bad Girl was A-listed so this modern masterpiece was never going to be snubbed! Relieved that Ed's new single is Drunk after rumours floating about before that it might have been Wake Me Up! Just as an extra, this song was the remaining new addition to the playlist this week on the 'BBC introducing' section and it seems like the sort of thing that would appeal to a lot of people on here - catchy but mildly quirky female pop; QqiUYJB2AUc
January 11, 201214 yr Emeli, Guetta/Sia & One Direction yay :D will.i.am, can that flop please. Teach him to start putting effort into music again, like he did at one point.
January 11, 201214 yr Emeli, Guetta/Sia & One Direction yay :D will.i.am, can that flop please. Teach him to start putting effort into music again, like he did at one point. It's not his best song, but I do think he has put effort into some of his recent music. I think his instrumental in Just Can't Get Enough was great, and some of the album tracks from that album are good too.
January 11, 201214 yr For a week with THREE B-List additions there's very little of interest this week. I'm not particularly thrilled at the prospects of new DJ Fresh and Emeli Sandé singles after 'Louder' and 'Daddy', both of which paled in comparison to previous material by their respective acts. I really hope 'Hot Right Now' is up to the standards of 'Hypercaine', 'Gold Dust' and 'Lassitude' if it's going to be another #1 (which it is at the rate the fake version is climbing on iTunes). Brilliant to see 'Titanium' straight to the B-List though - I wasn't surprised at its snubbage last week though because I just assumed that was because it's not a UK single and is just charting because of UK TV channels playing a video made for other regions (a la Hard). I assume it is confirmed as the next UK single now though hence going straight into the B-List. Really hope it at least outpeaks 'Without You', if not the other two NBTB singles as well - I'd love it to go to #1 and it could do so if the release schedule doesn't light up a bit. I echo gooddelta's relief that 'Drunk' is Ed's fourth single, it's the obvious choice and should have a good chance at getting him a fourth top 10 hit on the trot. Hope for a #6 peak to keep up the discography  Great to see Jessie and Professor Green up to the A-List and Kelly Rowland up to the B-List (also Sub Focus but I haven't heard his song yet). Not bothered about any of the other movements and additions this week. I think T.H.E (The Hardest Ever) is almost guaranteed to be a #1 now, I sort of thought that before but now it has R1 support (wasn't sure if Jagger would put them off :P) I think it's more certain. January 11, 201214 yr Not as interesting a playlist this week, nice to see Gotye on the climb though.
January 11, 201214 yr Glad that Alyssa, Kelly, Pixie, Gotye, David/Sia have all moved up to B list :D
January 11, 201214 yr Yay!!! :D Gotye on his way to A-list (next week, please), 'Titanium' straight onto the B-list and I'm really liking the new single from DJ Fresh. Also great to see M83 and Kelly Clarkson climbing up to the B-list. Seeing 'T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)' on the C-list tells me that this could actually be a big hit. I've seen the video quite a few times now on Chart Show TV - quirky without being crap (imo) and Mick Jagger's rapping verse towards the end is brilliant. "you can go hhaaaaarrddd". :D

Well, I loved 'Louder', and it was quite different to his usual stuff. 'Hot Right Now' is MUCH more classical DJ Fresh, and at the same time it's very nice and easy-listening. But it's a bit non-event compared to his errr.... three previous singles at least (I can't remember what single he had released before 'Gold Dust').
January 11, 201214 yr T.H.E. flopped very hard in the US so not sure if the public in the UK will buy it. Would be interesting to see Mick Jagger topping the chart though..
January 11, 201214 yr I envisage Chris Moyles 'covering' the synthy riff of M83's Midnight City sooner or later. Urgh.
January 11, 201214 yr T.H.E. flopped very hard in the US so not sure if the public in the UK will buy it. Would be interesting to see Mick Jagger topping the chart though.. I see what you did there :P I get the feeling it'll be a big hit in the UK anyway regardless of its US success (or lack thereof) and might end up being one of those songs that gets big in the US after it does in the UK.
January 11, 201214 yr Could be.. And it did reach #36 but that was just because it was something new by will.i.am and J.Lo.
January 11, 201214 yr Fantastic to see David Guetta & Sia on the B-list and Emeli Sande and DJ Fresh both getting continued support. Adds from One Direction and Ed Sheeran should begin to promote them on iTunes - having 'What Makes You Beautiful' still in the top 20 officially is getting a bit tedious - just a shame their second single bombed it. Lots of #1 contenders on the playlist now - but I thought Labrinth's 'Earthquake' was a sure fire #1 (it's certainly sold enough to have been). I think it's safe to assume will.i.am and DJ Fresh will both be relatively big hits in the coming months - still waiting on Gotye to become a mega hit!
January 11, 201214 yr IMO It's a Mixed Bag I like guitar music but the A-List is looking a bit saturated with it. All Time Low, Arctics, Noah & The Whale & The Big Pink would be no loss to the A list. Happy to see Redlight, Gotye, Kelly Clarkson, Sub Focus, M83 & Maverik move up. All the B-List adds are good. Is the C-List smaller than usual? Good to see Lower Than Atlantis there and Ed Sheeran. Friends On the INMWT list aswell :) and I like Skeptas' new one Only really dislike 4 songs: Rhianna, Taio :puke2: , William & Alysa Reid
January 12, 201214 yr Can't believe they're ignoring Cover Drive's Twilight! I get the feeling that Twilight will be top 20 maybe top 10.
