if it were 'down with the trumpets' or 'when I was a youngster' then I probably wouldn't be as opposed as they were pretty good. obviously neither of them as good as 'titanium' though. I think it can manage to outpeak 'where them girls at', or at least match its peak but not sell anywhere near as much sadly.

If Titanium is already top 5 this early in its run I don't see what's stopping it from outselling Where Them Girls At. Especially as it already has some sales banked from its original chart run as a promo single (probably 50k+ in the 4 weeks it was top 100?)

It'd probably help if it gets reduced to 59p at some point like 'Without You' was (that's only 90k or so behind Where Them Girls At's sales total and didn't have the promo single treatment, Titanium looks set to peak higher and probably stick around in the higher reaches of the chart longer).

On an unrelated note I have sources that indicate Kiss The Stars has just been used on Celebrity Big Brother.

Hello strange forum, from reading only the past few pages I can see why this is refered to as the iLoons thread. Please remember that success is no guarantee of quality.

Signing out.

I take it the last few pages were all about Pixie. I couldn't take any more of it after getting to like Page 4. :(

Pleasing to to Gotye on the up again! I hope it gets Top 20 over the weekend. :D Shame M83 appear to have stalled, hopefully it's only a temporary shinding. :P

At the pace Pixie is rising, I think she could even contend for #1 after DOI. She hasn't even reached the A-list yet and KTS is only fully released on January 29th. Mercury won't increase the single's price if they see it as contender for #1. It really should've been the second single!

Read All About It on #CBB so expect it to climb (along with Kiss The Stars which was also used earlier)

Was there ANY need for that hashtag? This isn't Twitter.

Calm down.

If you use Twitter a lot, you just end up using it out of habit, even when you're not on Twitter.

I've actually started saying "hashtag" in everyday conversation now.

That's pretty much given anyway who went out! I was trying to stay away from all spoilers as I need to catch up on tonight and yesternight's shows :(

As much as I love Twitter, even I haven't resorted to doing that yet!

Gross - 'Kiss the Stars' used on Big Brother - as if the song needs any more help in climbing. This is a similar situation to the one Jessie J was in last week with 'Domino', music video meant it picked up the pace, jumped into the top 10 pretty quick and is now likely to reach #1. Would be weird to see 'Kiss the Stars' top the charts, I guess - but we'll see. I'm all for 'Titanium' reaching #1 instead though.

Sorry.

I genuinely have been tweeting alongside this so i guess it just came out of habit B-)

Yeah, it would be weird. Pixie Lott is honestly the LAST artist we'd expect to see CLIMB to #1 (although technically Boys and Girls did, but that was a bit different ).

I think it'll be either Jessie J or Swedish House Mafia next week though. Jessie's lead is huge now.

Pixie for #1

Kiss The Stars would have been a more successful single but if that was the second single then What Do You Take Me For wouldn't have got to be a single and so I'm happy it's the third single. So much drama in the last few pages! Haha. Kiss The Stars reaching #1 would be hilarious. It's an era saver in any case.

Only if it helps the album! :P

It doesn't need to. All it needed to do was get her a smash and get radio back on side for future singles which it has done. Helping the album is a bonus. I mean obviously helping the album back into the top 40 would be LOVELY but it helps remove the flop tag from the era and it's probably going to end up her biggest post-album hit (even if it is a bought chart position...) so it's all good.

WDYTMF should have never been a single at all! The two uptempo, two ballad Turn It Up strategy would have worked just as well with this album! I still have hope that KTS sells and peaks well, regains interest in the album and in turn providing a platform for the ballad singles (Love You To Death, We Just Go On) to sell the album. The controversy and attention of the KTS video could very well revive and save this era in the end  Bless KTS

I don't think Pixie will get to number one tbh, She's 60% behind Jessie J and that's a lot. I can't see her Dancing On Ice performance helping her no more than 15% on Sunday. I think the best she will do is reduce the gap to around 20% and even that's a massive ask as she would have to double her %.

A big single and continued radio support is great and all but at the end of the day if her album continues to sell peanuts she's going to get dropped :P I think this era has gone well enough for her to get a third album but she won't last much longer unless she can go back to selling albums as well as singles which she did perfectly with Turn It Up.
