I really like all three of the big contenders this week but Twilight is definitely my favourite strangely - considering one features the legendary Sia and the other is by one of the best new acts around. I've never been sure of Born To Die's potential to go to #1, I still think that Video Games is better, although the album obviously will.

Twilight up to #29 :cheer:

So glad this looks likely to be #1 they are an amazing group and actually really talented musicians.

I knew this was going to happen with the new Lana track, with Video Games still hanging around in the top 40, it seems the public are still connecting to Video Games instead of the new single, top 5 is going to be a struggle I think.

Looks like Cover Drive are going to bag the #1 single now, not sure where the Wild Ones is going to peak though, hopefully top 3, its definitely a contender for #1 though, I wouldn't rule it out just yet.

Cover Drive #25

Lana Del Rey #92

Flo Rida/Sia #93

Not forgetting that Video Games is a far better song than Born To Die, anyway... ;)

I thought that Born To Die was being overpredicted on here, it just doesn't 'feel' like a #1 single, it's a high quality and very different sort of song to everything else in the charts but since when did those factors ever equate to a UK chart topper? :P I also wouldn't rate it above Video Games which is one of those songs that people will look back in in years time and be shocked to find that it only peaked at #9...

Loving seeing Twilight doing so well already, it's been a while since a mixed pop group did well here and I adore the song. I knew it would be top five but I hadn't considered that it could be a potential #1 :o

It's going to be so weird if Cover Drive get to #1, I mean we all thought they were a one hit wonder after the rather poor Lick Ya Down just scrapped the top 10 and plummeted, but the thing is I can feasibly see it happening, even more so that Born To Die.
Well, well done Cover Drive. I wasn't expecting this at all.
I think 'Wild Ones' will be a climber rather than an instant smash, Cover Drive will be quite front loaded and fall quite quickly and Lana Del Rey will hang around the lower top 10/top 15 for quite a while.

If I've seen the video on Sky, it's made zero impression on me - it seems fairly standard R&B fare to me, nothing special.

Well, the female singer looks that way, at least... ;)

I'd much prefer Lana or Flo/Sia but if it stops Rizzle Kicks being number 1 then I'm fine with Cover Drive getting it! I do think they'll trail off as the week goes on though, and fall to 3/4 on iTunes (if they get number 1 that is, and don't fall soon).

It doesn't really matter anyway, Wild Ones will be number 1 for at least 2 weeks when airplay builds, and Born To Die will stick around longer than Twilight.

Cover Drive doing ridiculously well.

EDIT: Oops, out of date and late already. Always the case on a Sunday
