Of course it is, they haven't made a single for 10 years  Who knows what they sound like now. It could be amazing (it probably won't be amazing).

Let's hope they don't go down the route of 'Dancing Queen' if they actually do make a go of this. :puke2:

YA i would love to see Steps get a few more top 10 hits and anotyher successful studio album, i never expected the ultimate collection to go number 1 so anything could happen if they make a strong comeback which a strong catchy lead single.
Disappointed that Nadia Ali is missing from that top 40 again. Lets hope she can climb by Sunday.
If Steps were going to make a comeback, shouldn't they have released a new track to tie in with their greatest hits (while they were back in the media spotlight) rather than wait several months for all the hype to die down?
Seal was the musical guest on Jonathan Ross this week.

And he split up with his Wife or something, I noticed that in the news... I think that could have something to do with it!

I would have thought Kelly Clarkson would be #6, how come she is only #8?

Because she hasn't sold enough to make #6. :P

Because her song sold fewer copies in the UK between the 22nd and 24th of January, 2012 than 'Twilight' by Cover Drive, 'Domino' by Jessie J, 'Titanium' by David Guetta featuring Sia, 'Mama Do The Hump' by Rizzle Kicks, 'Wild Ones' by Flo Rida featuring Sia, 'Antidote' by Swedish House Mafia vs. Knife Party and 'Good Feeling' by Flo Rida :magic:

I did laugh when I saw this question. Sorry, Lukuzz.

I somehow thought Born to Die would be much closer to number 1.

I really hope it stays top10 by sunday. She deserves it so much!!!

Haha did sound a bit stupid, I just meant because she has been #6 on ITunes for days now hasn't she? And isn't that the most popular place for music purchases? Ahh well. Maybe she will climb by Sunday.

Because a couple of the tracks above her have multiple versions of one track inside the iTunes top 100, which would probably put them ahead of her combined.

That's the case for Swedish House Mafia, who have 3 versions in the top 100 plus their EP is in the 30s of the albums feed. Flo Rida only has one version but I guess he's either selling way more on the other download sites or he's staying ahead because he started the week ahead of Kelly.

Midweek Charts: 21 battling for 21st week at number one

Singles

Island/Lava’s Jessie J is very likely to lose her singles crown with Domino after two weeks this Sunday as Barbadian act Cover Drive prepare to score their second UK hit with a number one. The newly-issued Twilight is around 15,000 sales ahead of Domino as it gets set to follow breakthrough hit Lick Ya Down, which peaked at nine last year, into the Top 10.

Positiva/Virgin’s David Guetta track Titanium featuring Sia is in third place, the same position it held on last Sunday’s chart, while Sia is lined up to feature on a second Top 10 hit with the Atlantic-issued Wild Ones by Flo Rida, which includes the Australian singer, showing up as a midweek new entry at five. Flo Rida is also on course for two simultaneous Top 10 hits as Good Feeling drops on midweek sales 5-7.

Island’s Rizzle Kicks fall 2-4 with Mama Do The Hump, while just ahead of the release of her debut album Polydor’s Lana Del Ray is appearing as a new entry at 10 with Born To Die as predecessor Video Games holds at 20. The MTA/Mercury-issued Get Out My Head by MTA, meanwhile, arrives in 16th place in the week to date.

Among the week’s big sales gainers are RCA’s Kelly Clarkson with Stronger (up 51% to climb 11-8), The J/RCA single International Love by Pitbull featuring Chris Brown (up 31% to rise 14-13), Island’s Gotye featuring Kmibra with Somebody That I Used To Know (up 84% to move 21-15) and Virgin signing Professor Green’s Never Be Right Time (up 30% and moving 42-34).

New Entries

1 Cover Drive

5 Flo Rida/Sia

10 Lana Del Rey

16 Redlight

34 Prof. Green [NBART]

Paul Williams only had five new entries to write about, but he's managed to make mistakes with three of them. More shoddy journalism from Music Week.

1) "Lana Del Ray"

He's determined to change Lana del Rey's name. I think he did this last week as well.

2) "The MTA/Mercury-issued Get Out My Head by MTA..."

This is by Redlight, who he doesn't even mention. MTA is just the label.

3) "Professor Green’s Never Be Right Time"

...is actually called 'Never Be *A* Right Time".

He's also written "Island’s Gotye featuring Kmibra", instead of Kimbra.

Music Week's lack of fact-checking and proofreading is appalling for any 'publication' that wants to be taken seriously.

Still no Music week update-time to cancel that subscription methinks......

Still no update, not even a mid-update report, I didn't miss much than.

They probably forgot to update

The UK’s biggest band are battling with the UK’s leading solo artist to top the UK artist albums chart this weekend with just several dozen sales separating Coldplay and Adele. The UK’s biggest band are battling with the UK’s leading solo artist to top the UK artist albums chart this weekend with just several dozen sales separating Coldplay and Adele.

XL’s Adele album 21 remains in the lead in pursuit of a 21st week at number one, but Parlophone act Coldplay’s Mylo Xyloto was trailing it by only around 60 sales up to the end of trading on Thursday, according to Official Charts Company figures.

Little more than 1,100 sales further behind is Atlantic act Ed Sheeran’s + in third position, while Elektra/Atlantic’s Bruno Mars’ Doo-Wops & Hooligans is fourth in the week to date. Rhino’s Chris Isaak rounds off the top five with a new entry at five with Beyond The Sun, which is set to become the American’s highest-charting album in the UK since Wicked Game in 1991.

Global Talent/Polydor act Cover Drive’s newly-issued Twilight is comprehensively in charge of the singles market, being around 18,000 sales ahead up to the end of business on Thursday of closest challenger Titanium by Positiva/Virgin’s David Guetta featuring Sia. The Island/Lava Jessie J single Domino, which topped the chart for a second week last Sunday, is now third.
