February 3, 201214 yr Ben Howard.... Up from 63. Big climb, any particular reason or just increasing airplay for 'The Wolves'? He's been climbing steadily recently 31/12/2011 93 07/01/2012 83 14/01/2012 68 21/01/2012 65 28/01/2012 57 04/02/2012 63
February 3, 201214 yr I just like the thought of Jagger being in the top 10 in 2012!! Maybe it'll give a boost to Moves Like Jagger just to keep Bré happy
February 3, 201214 yr great update - Titanium should easily overtake by the weekend, and Lana should go over 100k :D great to see the single entering the top 10 as well
February 3, 201214 yr great update - Titanium should easily overtake by the weekend, and Lana should go over 100k :D great to see the single entering the top 10 as well Unless Madge ousts her at the last minute... :(
February 3, 201214 yr Unless Madge ousts her at the last minute... :( I wouldn't count on that, it may not even be elilgible (not actually sure on this one..)
February 3, 201214 yr I wouldn't count on that, it may not even be elilgible (not actually sure on this one..) Apparently it's not. OCC said so.
February 3, 201214 yr Give Me All Your Lovin' won't chart until MDNA is released (26 March), it's just like Coldplay's Paradise :(
February 3, 201214 yr Author A poster at ukmix has emailed the OCC and received a reply which confirms the track will be ineligible for the singles chart Their reply is: According to the chart rules, if the track is being made available as an instant grat for purchasing the album, it will be ineligible for the Official Singles Chart until the album is released (see Section 7 of the Official Albums Chart Rules and Official Singles Chart Rules PDFs below). http://c0903002.cdn.cloudfiles.rackspacecl...chart-rules.pdf http://c0903002.cdn.cloudfiles.rackspacecl...chart-rules.pdf This will be the case with Give Me All Your Luvin’ as it was with Coldplay’s Paradise. Straight from the horse's mouth
February 3, 201214 yr oh dear, that's not gonna be popular - not that I agree with it, I think its a rather silly rule as the charts should reflect what people are buying imo (and it is legal of course) I wonder if this is gonna go to Itunes number 1 or top 10, how strange the official chart will look :o
February 3, 201214 yr I'm really glad that 'Titanium' has gone from 6k behind on Wednesday's update to just 1k in todays midweeks. With its lead on iTunes, I'm sure David Guetta will get that #1 spot on Sunday. I mean if 'Gettin' Over You' can be a UK #1 single... Lana Del Rey heading for over 100k is brilliant. Just hope sales of the album don't plummet next week and can become one of the 2012's biggest selling albums.
February 3, 201214 yr To be fair it didnt harm Coldplay's Paradise at all. Paradise has been huge!
February 3, 201214 yr To be fair it didnt harm Coldplay's Paradise at all. Paradise has been huge! That had huge promo (XF Final) and strong airplay backing it though... Plus they were very much in the public eye as it was off the back of another single previously and the Glasto headlining gig. There isn't much hype surrounding GMAYL, we will have to see if radio and TV get behind it enough for it to chart well in almost two months time, but I doubt it.
February 3, 201214 yr Titanium should definitly end up number 1 after closing the lead so much, great to see Lana Del Ray selling so well at number 1, hopefully she will be nearer 110,000 by end of the week, im glad the album is doing well but i have to be honest and thought she might go number with sales of 50,000 or, i certainly didnt expect such big sales but am delighted she has managed it. Snow Patrol fallen empires back in the top 20 is great, it should soon go platnum.
February 3, 201214 yr We're going to have new entries at #2 by Canadian artists on both charts this week. Fun :P Also just realised it's a very 'The Police-y' top 3, with the chorus to STIUTK being very reminiscent of Sting/The Police and 'Titanium' sounding a lot like Every Breath You Take at the start. It's not just me who thinks that then
February 3, 201214 yr Am I right in thinking Madonna will be eligible after next week because the album is only to available to pre-order for a limited time? Or am I wrong?
February 3, 201214 yr Am I right in thinking Madonna will be eligible after next week because the album is only to available to pre-order for a limited time? Or am I wrong? Yup, that's my understanding too. The pre-order offer is only valid until Monday. All sales after Monday will be eligible for next week's chart.
