I've always found this boring except for the last part as she gives it a bit more emotion.

Surely the reason for cutting the breakdown in 'Starships' is that it says "we're higher than a motherf***er" before it? But still, they could've just cut the vocals and kept the music playing or something at that point. I'm not listening, but I'm not that bothered as it does sound a bit out-of-place in the rest of the song.

The 'we're higher than a motherfucker' is there in the R1 edit (censored obviously) - it's just the actual breakdown that they've cut out.

As the very first winner of the AMERICAN IDOL television show competition, Kelly Clarkson was inevitably pegged as little more than a manufactured pop commodity. The surprisingly versatile singer managed to survive against expectations, however, and released one of the most infectious singles of 2005, "Since U Been Gone." The success of the song not only endeared Clarkson to a tremendously diverse cross-section of the music listening population, it altered her status from mere contest winner to genuine pop sensation and pointed to a career worth following. - HMV

Born To Die, followed by Whitney. Unfortunate.

Yes, the reason is apparent. But, Capital FM play the breakdown, and manage to censor it perfectly well, so it seems disappointing that Radio 1 have decided to butcher the song by removing it.

Whitney's version of 'I Will Always Love You' you have to say is better than Rik Waller's version remember that? It made #5 in 2002 didn't it?

Why has Kelly been posted at #12 and #13?

Why has Kelly been posted at #12 and #13?

Because Tom is a silly billy.

Rizzle Kicks' first two singles are way better than this (although i do still like it).

It's a shame that this is what they'll be known for for some time.

Over sentimental tripe. Her uptempo ballads and dancey tracks are loads better.

"uptempo ballads"?

One Direction / Cover Drive / David Guetta featuring Nicki Minaj - one of them has missed the top 10. Hoping it's One Direction - although 'One Thing' is easily their best song, it'll no doubt fall a good 6/7 places next week, so the top 10 peak would just prove that they'd begged all their fans to purchase it a few times. Did appear at #8 on Wednesday though - had expected it to fall to #16 a la JLS, so even #11 is a worthy peak considering the state of boybands at the moment.

'Turn Me On' potentially in the top 10 though, yay!

:(

Rik Waller he lives around here :(

Maybe when you are older and get drunk and dance to it you will come to love it.

i am neither old and i am straight but i can appreciate pop perfection when i hear it!

Hopefully One Thing missed out!
